I always do fruit, veggies, string of cheese & yogurt as snack and avoid all the crackers, bread, chips, etc for my one year old since diabetes runs in my family trying to get her used to eat healthier and not so much carbs

Love those snack cups. My family uses them as well. My 1 year old discovered holding the silicon part outward will allow for everything to spill out 😂🙈

You inspired me. LOL!! Going online shopping now. I have a 1 year old and struggle with changing up his food. The puffs will go stale the longer they sit in the snack cup so keep that in mind. Sometimes I wrap it with plastic wrap to try to keep them from getting hard.

Great video, I'm amazed at how much food is in your fridge and how big it is, in Europe we have smaller fridges, I think maybe we shop more often , like 2 to 3 times a week. The snack variety was huge! My kids have one snack mid morning n one mid afternoon, n it's always yogurt fruit or mini sandwich. Sometimes a treat like a cookie after the fruit n yogurt.

The Walmart brand veggie fries are definitely softer for Jackson! The Veggie straw brand is the harder one. I prefer the softer We love the Great value ones lol

If you have paw patrol or princess stickers, you can buy the cheaper plain string cheese and put a sticker on the cheese stick. Takes a little time but not too much, and your kids won’t know the difference. Just an idea to save a little money, as I know the character foods are more expensive.

Thank you for the turkey jerky idea! My son is about the same age as Jackson and isn't eating a variety of protein like he used to. Now I'm down to turkey breakfast sausage links, and hotdogs 🤦🏾♀️ cut tiny. I needed something new before he gets tired of this.

Walmart has these Minnie Mouse containers that I used to buy for for when we are on the go. It has cheese fruit and crackers. I keep some on hand because my 1 year is not a very patient child when it comes to food.

Here’s our trial and error as we try to get more healthy and fit and set our girls up with much better habits and preferences than what we had growing up and have been fighting to reverse for years. Birchbenders is a quality brand. Husband is on super clean keto and that’s one of his brands. Purely Elizabeth granola is amazing. Robert Irvine’s Fit Crunch bars are great and my picky 4 year old loves them. She and my 1 year old both go through purely organic layered fruit bars and gogo squeezes (kirkland also has some that are Organic and mostly just fruit and veggies). I eat Larabars, but 4 year old won’t, 1 year old likes them, just need to be careful, since they have some chopped nuts in them, but I’ve found them small and soft enough to be ok. Lemon bar is best priced super clean bar I’ve found (on Amazon) and tastes just like a lemon bar. A lot of their flavors actually taste like what they are supposed to and they are more delicious and usually just as clean and cheaper that RXbars and Thunderbird. Lily’s chocolate is awesome. 1 year old and I like Autumn’s gold grain free granola bars. We used to get nature valley’s almond butter biscuits and belvita biscuits too, but they aren’t as cleans as we are trying to be now. I like all of Annie’s products (their bunny crackers for the girls especially), though they do have sugar, but not as much as more mainstream brands.

I feel like what's cheaper financially isn't necessarily cheaper economically/all around. Sure it's cheaper to make from scratch but that's assuming you have time for research, to get ingredients, to prep and cook it and have contingency time if it tastes like ass.

Sometimes I get a little culture shocked at how many packaged snacks Americans eat. We barely have kids snacks like that here. And even if we did, it’s never something healthy.
