@@Katia-y6mwell I applied for this position as my first ever job and I got it 1 week ago. I’ve worked 4 days already and it’s not that easy. When im picking, I have to go fast and it’s nonstop so my feet and body really hurts by the end of my shift. I’m still not sure how to dispense yet and kind of being made fun of but what can I do, I haven’t learned it yet and no one is teaching me. So I just pick all the time which im fine with, im just scared my team lead telling me to dispense one day

I tried this position a month ago at Walmart I only lasted a week and then I quit.. no regrets... the expectations are to outlandish they expect you to know everything on day one.

I hope things are going well with you. I have been with OGP for a almost 2 years now. My background includes creating training videos for work and wish I could even get this far. I feel for all those tossed into the job with short or no training. There are some like me that take it seriously and go out my way to help them. Look for them in your store there should be some there.

I had orientation yesterday and I start training today. I work 1-10 and 5-10 shifts so I hope closing isnt too crazy busy. We dont even got a specific spot to have OGP stuff we apparently are in everyones way.

They hired a bunch of people at my Walmart and I’m one of them and I feel like I’m not meeting my co workers expectations 😭 I just know they be stressing bc of so many new people in their department so I try to stay out of their way in the backroom but when we’re busy I want to help them dispense I just still don’t know how

Got hired, I had 3 choices, cashier, ogp, entertainment. I chose entertainment but I’m going to change it tomorrow. I start orientation Tuesday.

@@rtaylor198622 I mainly dispensed when I worked there because I didn’t like being out in the store. You’ll hate it on hot and busy days but if you have a friendly team you’ll be alright!

@@arnarnie6844 You would love to be a picker or stager. Dispensers meet customers all day. Pickers go out on the floor and shop, but sometimes people ask you questions but its mainly chill this is what I prefer. Stagers/Preppers stay in the backroom getting orders ready.

question, dispensing starts as soon u prep an order, my time was over 2 mins by time finish dispensing.

dispensing starts as soon as the customer is checked in OUTSIDE. that’s why we prep before they arrive (if they checked in on their way to the store) so that we beat the time before it is considered late.

they update their system every once in a while so it likely doesn’t look like this anymore hence i recorded this back in july 2021 and they changed it like twice after this 😭. you’ll be okay. it’s easy IF you have a great team who’ll actually train you. good luck! you’ll do fine ;).

ambient stage is like all the dry foods like chips candy etc. and toilet paper and chemicals etc.

Online grocery pickup/delivery. Picking is the same. Also, good luck. I lasted 3 months before I had to leave because this job drained me so much. Walmart was the worst job I’ve ever had.

When I got hired here I actually called them and asked to speak to a hiring manager and I was basically hired on the spot. If you have any neighborhood Walmarts in your area I suggest calling them because they’ll more likely pick up the phone. The hiring process was very quick and easy. You’ll start working in less than a week after a call back.

Why did you get fired

I pointed out. The max was 5. You get points by being late, calling out, clocking out late, etc. basically you need to have perfect attendance to work here. You can use your PTO to rid points and the points also drop after 6 months.

@@Bigshea Ahh yes. The point BS. I didn’t point out, but I did quit, and I’ll tell you it’s all about favorites for points. There was a really hard worker that got 5 points and was fired immediately. One lazy worker was at 12.5 points when I left, nothing happened because he’s friends with a coach. Another had 8 points from produce and was let go, then was in OGP the next week because again, my former coach from OGP liked him.

@@blondego56 hello ms know it all! walmart warrior. i didn’t call out when i got my last point. i ACCIDENTALLY submitted a paid time off and unpaid time off. both were approved. was logged out of me@walmart and couldn’t get back in and that’s when i found out i was fired 👍
