if this is actually David uploading these vids on here........ You're giving us all the old video's which is great. brought me back to the early aughts. would be great to see you now in your early 70's ( you looked like you were in your 30's in these shows) maybe building some new pieces. I'm sure everyone wants to see what's going on in your shop now................................

This was the inspiration for a table I made that sits in our bedroom today. I used a 4 way bookmatch amboyna burl inset in quarter sawn mahogany. I also used wenge trim in septic places as border as well as the bases of the feet just like in the video. My legs are the same as the piece here. It’s maybe one of my best creations I created insipired by this episode of Woodworks and David Marks himself. Thanks David!!

Thanks John! I have always appreciated how much you love woodworking and your dedication to the fine details. So great to learn that you were inspired by my table design and went a step further and used Amboyna Burl for the top!! Sounds Awesome!

Looks great. Do you ever have to refinish the copper? Or will waxing it be enough to maintain it over the years?
