John you beauty! Thanks for having me in the video, this was a lot of fun. It was fun to hear you play some heavy riffs on that Harmony guitar. Let's do it again sometime!!

This was awesome! Cheers to both for the banter & the playing, especially the playing! Completely different styles, but both thoroughly enjoyed. Coming from a big Monuments fan.

I can't be the only one that thinks hearing Browne play a Harmony gold foil pickup garage rock guitar sounds fantastic

Back in the late 90s I saw a metal band use a pink danelectro with single lipstick pickups and it was heavy.

Nice! I use the Walrus Audio Ages overdrive to boost my dirty amps because it has the blend knob just like this pedal. I love it!

"when you were playing around with the knobs and the clarity came back it was amazing" you mean when he dialed back the blend and just left the amp on? 😂

I've been using a Supro Westbury Baritone with goldfoils in it for heavy stuff down in drop A for a while now. Goldfoils sound incredible for heavy stuff, they just have so much clarity and body to them. I was incredibly surprised by how heavy that guitar was when I played it for the first time, it really is a great sound that pairs really well with a thick high-gain gain tone. People have been really overlooking goldfoils imo.

Hey John I really think you should try the Allumitone deathbucker from Lace, i think they would fit your sound very well, otherwise fucking awesome playing man!!!

The Mesa Mark lV/V doesn't get you where you need, without a boost pedal? I find that it has what I need. I still use a TS9 sometimes though. My Uberschall is super distorted but does need the boost like you say.
@t3hgir3 жыл бұрын
For me it's more like why WOULDN'T you boost a Mark series? :)
@MrSneakyPants3 жыл бұрын
@@t3hgir the 5 band eq typically deals with the mud issue. I still use a boost here and there just for the transistor sound though.
