I never cease to be amazed at how you find such perfect musical vehicles for demonstrating a given pedal's attributes. Somehow in a very small window of time, you learn, understand, and seemingly master a pedals major functions and then put together these cogent and eloquent demos. I really don't know how you do it, Andy. No one else's videos get to the core of a pedal the way you seem to.

I wish they’d make stereo out for this pedal . I don’t need stereo for my guitar but it’s a must for synths
@dennisristow21025 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I know there are stereo delay, chorus and reverb pedals, but it would be nice to have a dedicated pedal that did nothing but stereo-ize the image without adding too much color. Then you could at least add that pedal to the end of a chain. Sort of a stereo width adjusting pedal for DI recording (or synth recording.) Sometimes I don't want a modulated chorus or delay effect or more reverb coloring the recording tone. I just want a stereo spread like some of the plugins I have that modulate the eq and phase enough to widen the mono signal without throwing off the comb filter phase too much. Waves makes a good plugin in VST. Is there a pedal out there that does this?

Sounds nice but you could probably do the same thing by splitting your signal into wet and dry and adding an octave to your wet signal. Then throw in a little slow chorus for that out of tune sound. Might end up with some interesting results.
@joshuadavison2675 жыл бұрын
You actually did a great job of selling this pedal by saying you could achieve similar results with more steps and equipment.
@yeahrightbear88835 жыл бұрын
@@joshuadavison267 I just meant that if you already had a reverb and an octave pedal (which a lot of people do) then you might not have to spend another 200 bucks. Plus your signal would be in stereo and I don't think this pedal offers that.

Dunno if you decided yet, and I’ve never played this walrus one, but the EHX was a big disappointment for me, and this is coming from an huge EHX fan with 4 other of their pedals having a permanent place on my board. It always sounded kind of too digital and it was difficult to achieve the sound that I wanted. I think EHX are great at innovation (& fuzz) but when it comes to more “traditional” effects they can tend to drop the ball I think

@nicknickson36502 жыл бұрын
Cosmonaut is a reverb delay, Slo is just delay but it also has a swell mode. I love my Slo. The Dark mode is one of the best things I've ever used, and you can change which modulation type (3 types) you want to use by holding the on button and flicking the mode switch to which modulation you want. The dream mode on the Slo is also super nice, but the Dark mode is so perfect that I think I'll use it forever. It adds so much to solo guitar playing.

Just ordered one. Don't fall for the EHX Oceans 11 meme. don't get me wrong I love EHX, I have a pitchfork on my board, but the oceans 11 is like the fast food of reverb pedals. Yes it has decent options, BUT the sounds are very fake sounding. If you want reverb go for something quality, otherwise you really miss out on that true reverb feeling. At LEAST get a Boss RV6 instead of an Oceans 11.

I'm not feeling this one. A few of the sounds were interesting, for sure, but it just doesn't seem like go-to reverb sounds are readily available for breaking out in a jam. You'd more have to dial in something and compose to it. That makes it an expensive wall to climb for a guitar accessory.
