Man, I miss the days of being a kid and playing Halo with my buds. Such a good time of my life.

These conversations are some of my favorite videos on KZbin. I am 30 now. I started halo online in 2005 when I was a young teenager. Trying to get good at H2 was everything to me at that time haha. The few games I got to play with pro players stick with me to this day. It was that memorable and important to me. It’s amazing getting to hear the inside scoop from one of the biggest legends from one of my favorite teams ever. Thank you for these Walsh.

Fascinating. Thanks for doing this series. It's great to hear about these stories that happen outside of the game. Adds more depth, emotion, and insight to watching the pros play - then and now.

I met up with you at pax a couple weeks ago and I brought up how much I enjoyed the previous halo history video with Puckett . Glad to see you're back at it. I'm sure I can speak for a lot of people when I say we really enjoy hearing about how pros became passionate about the game. Thanks for everything dude

I'm so pissed my parents didn't let us go to MLG. I had a clan with my 3 older brothers. Back in 2004, we showed up at two local Houston tournaments. AP (Amazing Pickles), formerly JF (Jesus Freaks) showed up. They were the number 2 team to you and the Ogres. Killer N's squad. We beat them and won both tournies. We weren't allowed to travel cross-country for the big events. But we never lost a tournament. Killer N even told us we were the best team he's ever played. But we never got to compete. Would have been amazing to go head to head against you and your squad man. I'm the only one that kept going once H2 came out. I was #2 in head to head right behind Karma, then known as K 2 the Arma (before all the standbying and modding came out). What could have been. What could have been your biggest opposition on a team with two twins, and Walshy? How about a team of four brothers. Would have been an epic series. Mad love for ya man and always enjoy rewatching the old MLGs from time to time.

Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth Older? Are you fucking kidding? F.Y.I.....reflexes and hand eye coordination don't peak until age 35. The problem isn't reflexes for any of these guys....the problem is being motivated to play in the same league as annoying teens and early 20 somethings that don't know shit about shit but pretend they do. Suddenly you wake up an adult and realize the children around you have nothing to offer.

This video is fantastic. I'm so glad to hear these stories. I truly feel like I should have been there with you. I've always held the same view towards the game as you and Lunchbox (according to Roy). Roy is wrong though, there WERE spectators out there that watched the game and said "OMG did you see Lunchbox shoot 2 guys and touch flag!?" - that was me. I love you guys, and I love these stories. - Casedude

This is an awesome vid! Me and my team actually placed 5th out of 24 teams in our first tournament and we had two subs! That was back in Halo 4 and we haven't competed since then but we're starting to find players who work well with us as a team so we might get into HCS eventually.

As a big support player, I can relate to the stat screen dilemma at the end haha. I don't really understand why the spectators don't see the effort that actually led to the one guy they do praise getting the cleanups. It doesn't really matter for me, but I reckon the amount of fans you have has quite an impact on your succes within MLG (like you also touched on here, with the example of sponsorship)
@Gnurklesquimp9 жыл бұрын
What I personally love seeing the most in MLG, is seeing pros perfectly manipulate their offensive and defensive angles. I've got a pretty good grasp of how the concept of ''angles'' branches off into loads of other strategical concepts, but I can never really seem to put it into practise properly.. Then again I'm inexperienced as a player and never REALLY tried to find the right spots and how they interact with your teammates'/enemies' locations. I'd love to see your perspective on what are the most important aspects of managing angles! I've asked some other youtubers and most were up for it, but some found it was a bit intimidating of a subject to cover haha. For every answer you get you get 2 more questions

I went to high school with soviet. He was kind of a weird guy. one time i joined his group in halo 2, mlg ffa midship. I came through and won at the end with a come back from behind to take it 50 to 48 or something like that. We get back to the lobby and then the next thing I know I'm kicked. I hung out with him a few times he never seemed to like me, I think because of that game, cuz we had a few 1v1s near the end and i double shot yy double shot him so hard he probably shit his pants. Talk about a sore loser.
