I was a 15 yr old in 1985 when we visited The Magic Kingdom, Florida. Could not get over our monorail passing through the hotel!

The idea that this monrorail which is so cool by itself, there’s a hotel there, where the monorail literally drives through the building and drops you off in the lobby and picks you up is astonishing!

I was so amazed and a little freaked out, lol, at this, when I first visited Magic Kingdom in 2012. My favorite ''ride'' of all.

I was 6 when I was in the monorial going thru this hotel. Still the coolest disney memory decades later.

It is amazing how far Disney hotels would come fifteen years after Disneyland Hotel opened in Anaheim, when the truly remarkable state-of-the-art Disney Contemporary Resort opened in Walt Disney World on October 1st 1971 (opening day). The Walt Disney World Monorail System runs through the inside of The Disney Contemporary Hotel and a monorail station is situated in the center of main lobby for resort guests. The mosaic on the wall was Mary Blair's artwork.

They should have enclosed the Vegas monorail inside the hotels the same way

I would think there would be some kind of door that the monorail goes through. With an opening rain can get into the building.
