I worked in EPCOT a couple of summers ago as a cast member and my main money saving tip is to always get your water there for free! If you go to any kiosk that is selling fizzy drinks from a fountain then you can ask for an ice water and they will give you water for free. It's completely safe to drink and saves you so much money as one bottle of water over there was $2. Hope this helps someone out 😊

My advice for anyone heading to Florida with slightly older kids is to not miss universal! There's Harry Potter, there's marvel, there's a good mix of big and little rides, and universal was always my favourite as a kid. Its quieter than Disney too, so shorter queues. Disney is excellent too though! For anyone planning their first trip, have a day in every park if you can and see which ones you like best

We went 2 years running 2015 and 2016 and absolutely loved it. 2016 was so much easier as we knew what we were doing. We didn't stay at a Disney hotel and instead had a villa in a gated resort. This meant that some mornings we got up and went to the Disney parks early and came home early, and some days we chilled out at the villa, swam in the pool played crazy golf (included in our tickets that we got from Orlando Attractions) and went to the parks later so we could stay and watch the parade and the fireworks. When we went early we booked ALL our fast passes for the morning, that meant we then had fast passes available to book in the afternoon - you can't book extra fast passes until you've used your original 3. Our favourite park in 2015 was Magic Kingdom, however in 2016 we went to Hollywood Studios and Epcot more (my children were 6,8 and 12). We split up as a family, my daughter and I went to see the princesses, whilst my hubby and boys went to do crazy rides (apparently expedition Everest is a ticked box never to be done again). The water parks are amazing, and we spent 'time out' at both of them - to do the parks every day is exhausting and although you will want to spend every minute there making the most out of your passes you will need time out (sanity break!) It is the most amazing, magical experience and you WILL want to go again. We are hoping to go again next year (2019) when Star Wars Land has been finished. Enjoy it, don't stress about the price of food (it's not cheap, but we already know that before we go), it will be hot, and if you go in August there will be rain and the most amazing storms you've ever seen - but it's so hot the rain is welcome. xx

I’ve been to WDW quite a few times so I feel like I’m something of a pro at this point but hoooooooly moly I bloody love a spreadsheet! I put the park that we’re going to on the day, put all the fast pass times and our dining reservations in my spreadsheet in a clear and concise way. My biggest tip is to alternate a big walking day and a nice chill day to make sure you’re not walking your legs off too much! 👍🏻

We have a spreadsheet every time we go, we learnt from our first trip that it is needed! We still buy the Birnbaum book every time we go as well. It’s fun to look back at older books to see what’s changed!

Emma, if you have used your 3 Fast Passes you can get another one on a roll. As soon as you have shown your third fast pass you can get on MDE and book another one. You can do this as many times as possible! We hammered Magic Kingdom this way.

We are going to disney world in september for 10 days, we have been a few times and take a disabled adult with us so we are same with fastpasses in morning and then in afternoon we try and have a nap or go to the pool and on a evening we go down to disney springs.... we schedule a shopping trip to florida mall in for saturday as parks get busier with been weekend... we did our dining reservations not long ago and looking forward to doing fastpasses....

I’m British and live 20 mins from Disney world! There is a vlogger I watch who shared how to use the fast pass system to your advantage - the wdw couple. Check them out!! Gaston’s tavern has huge cinnamon rolls which are very good, and I love the candy apples at the Main Street confectioners (toffee apples)

Going again in September. We get to parks at 9am & often get back to hotel 10-12pm !! It's exhausting but try to make most of every day & do everything & do some things multiple times. Also do universal & all the water parks. Day at NASA. Day at Discovery Cove. Helps going in & out of air conditioning to help with the heat. Comfortable shoes/trainers. Drink lots of water from water fountains. Also love Tim & Jenn Tracker watch them every day & hope to be lucky enough to bump into them!! (Also watch The Krispy S'mores) . I think the looking forward to the holiday is also fun knowing how much you are going to love it!!

Ugh, I just went to Disney in February and this makes me want to go back so bad. It’s truly one of the best places! Also, next time you might want to buy the Birnbaums guide for kids. I bought it for my daughter and she loved it! Also, you have to go to the drink stand in Pandora near the Avatar Flight of Passage ride called Pongu Pongu and get the Night Blossom drink. It’s one snack credit if you’re on the meal plan.
