If you’ve never used the Unofficial Guides to help you plan a Disney trip, you absolutely should!!! I also subscribe to Touring Plans (the Unofficial Guide’s website) online and use it to watch wait times and crowd levels. My husband and I had a FABULOUS trip to Universal using those tools in May/June. My mom has always used them to plan Disney as well

Love seeing what fastpasses other people get, we literally booked ours today with our FP megaplan and was so excited to get Flight of Passage 3 times and Slinky Dog twice! We decided book the FP's in order of priority rather than day by day from the start of the holiday and it worked perfectly! 🌟

My family thinks I'm a nutter with my Disney spreadsheets for 6 months before each of our vacations but then when everything runs smoothly while we are there I'm always like "WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY SPREADSHEETS NOW?!" 😇 Ugh, I felt for you when you couldn't get Flight of Passage right away - that was me for our trip there last October. It really grinds my gears when I can't get the FP I want. But, sometimes the lines don't end up being too terrible if you get there first thing in the morning. Slinky Dog Dash was only 30 minutes for us when Hollywood Studios opened and the line for that ride is so interesting (I find) that I wanted to go back just to see what I missed looking at.

As a Disney veteran, you need to get a DAS. It’s almost like a permanent fast pass and with your medical history you are completely eligible. Give it some research, as you can add your whole family to it. X

Yes. The way I got FOP was to do that pass right when the FP window opened and on a day later in the trip. Same for Slinky Dog and 7 Dwarfs.

Fab video! I wrote my list out in order of the top rides I wanted and jumped from day to day to make sure I got the hardest ones before going back to book the rest of the day up if that helps, and definitely stated with the end of the holiday so luckily got everything we wanted (for a group of 10!) x

Good video, but it would have been really useful if you filmed your process. You said lets go and sit at the computer, but did you actually book them through My Disney Experience on your computer or just through the App? Also, if you are not staying on property you can only book them 30 days ahead, but is that one day at a time at noon each day or the whole stay at the 30 days mark?

Once you have booked a fast pass in, is it guaranteed straight away? for example do they give you a ten minute window or something so you can book the total amount of fast passes for your holiday?

At 12pm 60 days before you holiday you can book your passes. It only takes a minute to book each fast pass. And also you can change them and move them around. Since this video I have changed a couple as Erin wanted to go on Space Mountain and in the park you can change them on the day! x

I've had a structured planned wdw vacation and a disney winds holiday. A planned holiday is crucial if you go during peak times. However, i really enjoyed our Disney winds holiday that we took during Mickey's not so scary. The only thing i planned was getting tickets for the party and our meals.

Thanks for this, we’ve just booked our Disneyworld holiday for 2020 staying at Port Orleans french quarter & have the free quick service dining!! I’m excited but also dreading booking the restaurants & fast passes as there’s 7 of us, my family of 4 & my nephew with his wife & little boy. My girls will be 22 & 14 so we’re really excited to have a little one with us so we can enjoy all the small kid rides & shows without feeling silly 😝 I’ve only ever stayed onsite once before & that was when my eldest was 2 so I’m really excited to see what it’s like. Would you recommend Port Orleans resort? I literally can’t wait to have a magic band, what a ridiculous thing for a 50yr old to get excited about 😂😂

Great video however I disagree with Disney not being a fly by night holiday. We've managed to get on everything everytime we've been without the need for a spreadsheet, and we've only ever stayed off site with Universal and Kennedy Space Centre days thrown in between for good measure so it is possible. Fab! In my experience with two small children who don't like to queue it's what works for us. A spreadsheet obviously is how I like to plan and isn't for everyone of course. I think if you're going in busy school holiday time, with a young family and you turn up expecting to go on all the rides you want to in Magic Kingdom you may struggle a little bit x

You have an hour. They won't actually let you book two fast passes next to each other and an hour is more than enough time to get from one ride to the other. EG if you have Seven Dwarves Mine Train at 9-10am you could pop on it 9:05am and you would still have until 10:59am to get till your next fast pass which is between 10-11am xxx

I was really lucky when we went to Disney as I am autistic and they gave me and my group Disability Access which means you go to a ride and they scan my magic band and give us a return time (which is usually around 10-20 minutes less than the queue) then when we went back we would be put in the fast pass queue. I hope all that made sense but it’s great if you’ve got someone in your party who struggles to queue x

I booked mine a couple of week ago! We got everything we wanted but not at the exact times we wanted. However, I’ve since been able to go on the app and tweak everything to get better times! It’s worth noting that with Star Wars land opening, the tiers are changing and pretty much all the rides in Hollywood Studios are going to be Tier 1! 😢 We fly home the day before Star Wars opens so it won’t affect us but worth bearing in mind!
