Crazy how many primarily comedy actors (Cranston, Odenkirk, etc) showed up with such a talent for dramatic acting within both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
@KenSahajaАй бұрын
Almost every comedian has proven to be a genius or some kind. I think that comedy is something you could only get into when you're more enlightened and secure with life. Because some truth is always needed to make a joke. They already have the awareness of human behaviors, real world problems and politics, and they just use it as materials of storytelling.
@nisnast18 күн бұрын
Historically, comedy actors make the best dramatic actors.
@BruceLeedar18 күн бұрын
Cranston isn't especially a comedic actor, he is just better known for comedic roles before Breaking Bad. Odenkirk is a comedy writer/performer that branched out into drama. That being said, I think Vince Gilligan and his affiliated writers do like to have a humorous element in their work, so they appreciate actors that have a sense of comedy. Even though BB & BCS get a lot more serious as the seasons progress, there are still bits of comedy (often quite dark) in the writing and performances.

If he’d just let Hank think Gale was Heisenberg, he’d have been in the clear, but his pride wouldn’t let him. He knowingly gave up a chance to keep himself safe just because he couldn’t let someone else have credit for his work. I love that detail.
