A great and fun plinking gun for steel or paper targets.
It uses 88g Co2 cartridge's, it weighs nearly 3000g, it holds 8 pellets.
It was built after the Winchester 1894 and mimics this riffle in almost every thing.
It is extremely well made and I can recommend it although it is al little pricy at 400 Swiss Francs

After sighting in at 60 feet, I could easily cover 5 shots with a nickel kzbin.infoUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL ! Truly a pleasure to shoot! Scope was easy to adjust for eye relief. Only problem the varmints must have seen it delivered lol!Update: So impressed with shot groups at 30 yards I purchased a Hammers 3×9 with adjustable Objective scope! Now a true nail driver!

Using super light pellet 4.0gr it goes plenty over 650 fps!But also with 5,2gr Pellet it will reach around 625 fps!! For a small Pest control it would be also good!!

Cannot put mine down. I love everything about this rifle - once sighted in, if you miss it's not the gun's fault. I buy beer brands now simply depending on whether they make good targets - Heineken with a red star is my favourite!

Hello thanks for your video which is very nice explanation. İ have intention to buy this nice rifle and Just confused about temperature. What do you mean cant we use in cold season as like winter.

I think cold weather will impact the pressure a bit but not in a way that will impact performance noticeably in my experiance hope that helps. Thanks for your comment and for watching!

Red ryders shoot steel or copper bb's.Airsoft is plastic bb's..An advantage of the red ryder is you do not have to reload every 8 shots .The red ryder has a 650 b capacity also it is a spring piston so you never have tobuy carbon dioxide.The stock is a bit short if you are over 5 feet 8 inches though.You have a nice gun but if i'm just plinking I can do it much cheaper with a RR or daisy buck than you can with your walther.On the other hand you could probably kill a squirrel with your gun.Mine would just annoy him.

+James haury Thanks for the Information. I think a red ryder would be a cool and affordable plinking rifle, but I haven't found one here in Switzerland. I also use "spring air guns", like a Feinwerkbau 300 or a Cometa 220. With those it is cheap to shoot and they have a lot of power, but you have to load every single shot.

What LEGAL gun (I live in Austria) would you recommend if I had to hunt small game in case of WROL or SHTF

I'm not sure about the austrian gun laws, but if possible I woud go with a .22 lr. Somthing like a Savage Mark II or any other quality bolt action rifle in .22 is probably the best choice. The ammo is relatively cheap and you can store 1000 rounds with no problem. The .22 lr cartridge is powerful enough to take down most game and - if need be - can also be used in a defensive scenario.

Just FIY the 1897 was a pump action, the Walther Winchester is built on the 1894 rifle with the exception of the butt cap and the wood foregrip that stops before unlike the original version ( and it is brass imitation not copper ). Otherwise great video

Its styled after the 1866 Winchester actually... The stainless steel finish is styled after the 1892 model and the standart finish is 1894. The 1897 Winchester wasnt even a lever action gun and certainly wasnt looking similar to that!

It would be great to see Switzerland. In the past I traveled extensively but family life has put a stop to that at least for awhile. It was several generations from me that my mom's family came over and my grandfather passed away when I was a baby. I am told he was a quiet man so I don't know much about it. Until I saw the genealogy tree I had always assumed that they came from Germany because of his last name. I hope to see Switzerland one day....

Is it possible to mount a scope on this rifle. I bought one yesterday and the iron sights on it are brilliant, i managed to hit nearly everything i was aiming at, though it would be interesting to see what it could do with a scope. Great review as well

I had to look it up. The paperwork reads Richterswil, CantonZurich, Switzerland. I just looked up some pictures of it online. It looks gorgeous. I don't know why the family ever left.

+Kenny Hempson No unfortunately it is not permitted to shoot on public land here in Switzerland unless you are hunter. Technically it is legal to shoot on privat property but there are almost always noise and safety issues. Thanks for watching ! :)

+James haury No and I think those are BB guns i.e. soft air. And this is a different technology.

BB is not airsoft, airsoft projectiles are made from plastic and travel at a much lower FPS, BBs are either steel or copper. Would you play airsoft with steel bbs? ;)

Hi Mark and thanks for watching, yes there is a Walther Umarex scope mount available but it is quite expensive and does not look so good from an aesthetic stand point but it is certainly serviceable.
