Good helpful video. This was my 2nd time cleaning this gun and your tip for getting it back together really helped a lot. Thanks.

Just field stripped mine for the first time and lo and behold the recoil spring was captured onto the guide rod so mine was much easier to reassemble. Thanks for the tutorial.

Excellent tutorial. Just got one and the manual's instructions on assembly and disassembly are horrible. It was my brother who figured it out; took both us about 10 minutes. Walther needs to hire new writers!

@murphyfirearmstraining363029 күн бұрын
@@johnsherota1854 walther sold some of these with lasers from the factory, but this is a cheap one I got at a gunshow.

Thank you for this video! In your experience, how many rounds have you put through the P22 maximum without cleaning it?
@murphyfirearmstraining3630Ай бұрын
@RC-yn7wv using bulk ammo (usually remington) I would say close to an entire brick. It was not giving me issues then, but I just felt the need to clean it. MIne is very ammo picky though. It won't shoot armscor or winchester. Iffy with federal. Very happy with Remington and CCI.

Sweet gun! The other difference by the way from the non CA models is the non captured recoil spring
@murphyfirearmstraining36303 ай бұрын
@francojaramillo7736 my CA and non CA models both have non captured recoil springs. I think that's an improvement they made to make reassembly easier.

I believe the slide is actually zinc alloy , don’t know what alloy grade it is though
@murphyfirearmstraining36308 ай бұрын
I stand corrected. After some checking, it is in fact a zinc alloy. Thanks for letting me know. So basically this is a really stylish high point, LOL.

I ordered the captured spring assembly from Midway USA for $30 dollars. That spring is a pain.

I use the Galloway Precision captured guide rod and spring. I don't remember what I paid for it, but it wasn't that expensive and worth every penny!

I bit the bullet (pun) and purchased a $20 : Sentinel "Captured Spring Guide Rod Assembly" by TandemKross. and now I do not have the spring and guide rod problem.

I feel like this gun is always jamming and giving me problems anyone experienced this too?
@Fenriz12224 ай бұрын
I had the same problem so I took some fine grit sandpaper and smoothed out the hammer and oiled it to allow the slide to slide over the hammer much easier with no resistance.. Haven’t had a problem since, even while using subsonic ammo it ran perfectly. It would never rum subsonics before I did this. Runs flawlessly now.
