I think it's invaluable that you let us know the sweet spot. Very accurate shooting.

The sweet spot is going to be different for each gun. Not a huge difference most of the time. I'd run a fill over a chronograph for a more accurate assessment. That sweet spot will depend on the weight and shape of the projectile as well, too a degree.

I’ve had the Reign for a few months, and by far it’s my favorite rifle. Here in Central Ohio, shooting air guns are prohibited in the city limits, so I joined the local gun club, and use their 25-yard range. The only pellet I use is the Crosman Premier 14.3 grain HP. Charging the gun to 210 bar (about 3,045 psi), I’ve been able to fire 100 rounds. The ending pressure was 25 bar.

Hellyeah!! This was another sweet review. I've loved the design of this one ever since I saw the very first picture of it. Way cool in looks imo - and not your everyday PCP rifle. I'd buy one of these for sure if had the cash. I also love that the cocking lever is not at the rear and that it is ambidextrous.. Yea..Those screw recesses ain't that nice to have and look at, but I do not mind it so much that it'd ever be a deal breaker.. The power figures were there and the accuracy was there - so, way okay for me.😁👍🏻 Thank you for the great review JC!!

Hi George, welcome. Yes, I discovered first hand this is a very addicting hobby. I looked up one day and ran out of storage for all the airguns. I stopped counting a couple of years ago at 300. Hi JC, Walther Reign UXT is a Bullpup with a very interesting design. I like it, very compact. But a bit expensive for an unregulated pcp, at least where I live. Excellent review as always, all the best. Cheers

The Reign is in the ballpark of the other non-regulated models, like the Akela and the Bull Boss. I will cover the Bull Boss in the upcoming weeks😉

Thanks for the thorough review. An item that you did not show is the dust insert for the fill port. I just got a Reign. You do not have to remove the whole stock to adjust the trigger, just the three rear screws and pop out the butt pad. My velocity higher speed hump is around 1800 psi. About 2000 psi to about 1500. and I got up to 1023 with Crosman Premiere HP using the FX radar chronograph. And yes it hits HARD. The other thing that surprised me was how quiet the gun is with those high velocities.
@AirgunDetectives2 жыл бұрын
Gerald, thanks for the additional info. I also changed out the front trigger spring after the review, just to lighten up the trigger a bit more. I really enjoy shooting this rifle, it feels really great in the shoulder. 👍

Another awesome review JC . Kinda like a Akela with a plastic stock. I wonder how much quieter it would be with the Buck -Rail moderator on it .Is the barrel threaded for this option? I'd like to see your review of the Air Venturi BullPup.

I bought mine 2 years ago and have put several tins through it. My only complaint is that it isn’t regulated. The sweet spot you discussed is for sure where the gun really shines, but if it were regulated it could maintain that sweet spot for the entire 60-70 shots per fill. It would of course add to the price, but if I’d had a choice, I’d have paid $75-$100 more for a regulator. I really like the design though, especially the stock covering the ugly bottle, which sets it apart from my other PCPs. I’ve used mine to kill snakes, starlings, pigeons, and one raccoon off my ranch. It’s quiet enough the cattle barely look up from grazing when I shoot.
@AirgunDetectives2 жыл бұрын
I found it very enjoyable to shoot. I am a fan of regulated PCP's as well. I am also a fan of the 3000 psi fill. So it's nice to know the 3300 psi fill is not necessary. Thanks for tuning in and I appreciate your comments. Happy Shooting 👍

Hey JC!!! Thanks again for an excellent video and review. What would you say are your top five picks for .22 PCP hunting, sound suppression, fpe, ergonomics, and overall quality for the same price point? Would you pick a PCP over a Magnum break barrel for hunting? Thanks again. Stay Safe, Be Well, God Bless.

Make sure you use a little silicone greese on the probe o-ring. Use the diver's grade silicone. Make sure the o-ring is always moist, and you should have no issues. Eventually, the o-rings will need to be replaced for normal wear. Happy Shooting 👍🏻

I’ve been so attracted to this rifle since it came out but there are a few things that kept me from buying it. It is a little under powered. It’s not regulated. How many shots did you get on a fill? Good shots? I heard it was around 40. That and it seems a bit over priced for what you get. German guns are great we know this, but my last Walther air rifle was nothing to brag about.
