Hey Walt! I read detective comics 988 and I really enjoyed it, I started getting tired of all the bat family stuff so I’m happy that detective comics is back to being detective stories. Wonderful video!

I get it. Just wasn't too excited about the case presented to the world's greatest detective. And there are a slew of new Bat-books coming up, most notably the Azzarello Black Label book next week...

I didn't know John's in it, that's cool.

Good to hear Bendis might be on the level of Alias again. I haven't read Cover yet, but I have very very fond memories of Alias! Also nice to hear that you enjoyed Astonishing X-Men as well :)

Yup! Rosenberg's writing too much stuff. Some of it feels rushed and unpolished, but you can feel (read!) when he's really into something and enjoying himself.

I'm about three weeks late watching this video, sorry about that. I believe the word you were looking for to describe the Bryan Hitch style is widescreen. He was the originator of the style. Great video.👍

YES. Of course. WIDESCREEN. Thanks! If you haven't listen to it, yet, his recent interview on Word Baloon was also pretty interesting.

Walt, I just read Dick Tracy #1 today. Has a nice old school/new school feel. Also, the Rich Tommaso art is great!

Thanks for the recommendation. Sounds cool, I'm a fan of Tommaso! Will check it out when in trade. Frankly, I wasn't too impressed with Mike Allred's writing in the past, so please let me know if he sticks the landing on this one.

Yeah I agree about Cover and The Seeds. Have you read any of She Could Fly? It's the same artist that did Ice Cream Man and The Electric Sublime. I really like the work the writer does in painting the main character as heavily flawed but still sympathetic.

I've heard it's really good, yeah. I missed the first issue, then it was too expensive to jump on board but I will DEFINITELY get the trade. It's incredible how good the second wave of Berger books is, after a very disappointing first one. I almost didn't get The Seeds either, because of that. Glad that I changed my mind. Cover was so cute&cool, can't wait for the next issue!

Thanks Paul. It's "The Divine" by Boaz Lavie, Asaf Hanuka and Tomer Hanuka. Pretty cool OGN
