I attempted this about a week ago going off yours and Adams most recent teppanyaki vid and my rice turned out dry and really crispy and the chicken was extremely dry as well and I did it step by step as you guys were making it and I'm not sure where I went wrong. I am fairly new to the griddle life so I'm sure it will get better with time. If you guys have any pointers for me I would greatly appreciate them!! also, i tried smashburgers as well and the moment i flipped them they literally fell apart and crumbled so that was an epic fail too!! Oh well I'm sure it is a leaving curve!! griddle on my brothers!!!!
@waltwins
@waltwins 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry it wasn’t stellar fam! It for sure is a bit of a learning curve - the rice we typically cook on low/medium low for about 10-15 minutes, moving it to make sure it doesn’t get too crispy (Brett actually prefers his crispy)… it does fry some, but you can lower the heat all the way if you feel it’s cooking too hot. The chicken also only needs a few minutes on the direct heat. Hope this helps some! We’ve seen others also have their smashburgers fam apart, that can happen from over-smashing, which may break them apart. Sorry again Fam - you can always reach out through Facebook or Instagram messenger, or directly through email if you have any questions: adamandbrettw@gmail.com

@waltwins
@waltwins 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching! We have sued teriyaki, we love all the different sauces! Because of how long the food will cook over time, and the rings will be against the direct heat, we don’t change out tongs. When cooking raw chicken, we often get the food cooking, and once it is cooking, we will switch or clean the tongs. Hope this helps!🔥🔥

Hey fam, thank you so much for watching! We were never officially part of the Blackstone company, but love griddle cooking - we have an incredible opportunity to partner with Pit Boss and their new griddles! We hope you’ll continue on this journey with us! Take care and GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙

Question: Can you substitute hosin for the oyster sauce? I have family member allergic to oyster sauce. Also, is the ginger dressing recipe anywhere online to share? Thank you!
@waltwins

Hi Lisa! Thank you so much for watching, and great questions! Yes, you can use hoisin sauce as a substitute, but you may want to use a little less, because the flavor might be a little stronger than oyster sauce. And the ginger dressing recipe is a Benihana copy-cat recipe I found online… it’s the best I’ve ever had!🤤🤤🤤 Hope this helps! Griddle on sister!😁❤️🤙

@@waltwins very true. At Qdoba yesterday and $7.08 for one taco and a small soda. Cooking with/for friends and family is better anyway. More fun, cheaper, higher quality (just like the crunchwraps I made a couple days ago), and fellowship! Enjoy that FL weather, 32degrees and a couple feet of snow in some areas in CO.

Not sure if you caught it, it was mentioned - there were some guests at the party that could not have eggs. Typically we use eggs in our fried rice dishes. Cheers.

I bought this as my first propane grill. It's been a fun, learning experience kzbin.infoUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I think it's a bit too pricey after looking at other grills, but it wasn't hard to put together and it works really well. I love the side burner option for heating food during a power outage. I have an electric stove and live in the South (Hurricane season), so this was a bonus. I also bought a cover for it and it has protected it nicely (the Char Broil All-Season Grill Cover 3-4 Burner: Large). Every few grill sessions, I take the rack (or grate) and burner covers off and clean them with a non-abrasive scrubby and mild soap. I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.
