I have to say that this is the finest rendition of Baynes' Destiny waltz that I've heard by the Central Military Band of the Russian Ministry of Defence today.

Обшибочка о месте исполнения - это Большой Зал консерватории им. П.И.Чайковского, а Концертный зал Чайковского - это несколько иное, хотя тоже престижное место :)

Been looking for this for a long time. When I was 8 years old or so we had a Summer Fete at our village primary school every year.....To cut a very long story short this was the tune we "marched" to in a procession. I'm 57 now but still remember me and the vicars lad being heralds, holding trumpets and following the "summer queen". The footsteps followed the tune , there was a lot of very exaggerated knee lifts and steps to the side...What they used to teach us in those days! Along with the country dancing like the shoemaker and Durham wheel, no wonder we were no good at the three R's. Glad I found this again, always wondered what the tune was.

Wonderful musical rendition of this piece played by a mature band engaging the full instrumental spectrum. No doubt, Valerie Khalilov teases out the best from the musicians, as usual.

If your great-uncle really did write it, then he deserves an award for being an amazing writer. Love it, seriously
