If you want to make a video like this on your own, hopefully these steps can help out: 1. I used vgmtrans to extract each song from the rom 2. Exported the songs into the highly compatible midi format with sf2 3. Deconstructed the channels to my liking in a generic music software and exported each one into a streamed sort of file (mp3, wav, etc.) 4. Put each file into SidWizPlus which does all the oscilloscope work. If SidWizPlus doesn't work that well I've heard of Corrscope but haven't given it a try. It may take some time to render. Hope this helps, if you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them

Part of what I love about listening to music I've heard countless times is finding new layers and instruments I never noticed before and focusing on them; focusing on all the little parts that make the song what it is without you even KNOWING it's happening. This is why I love video game music so much and videos like this PERFECTLY illustrate that passion.

The DS and GBA, while often criticized for poor audio quality, could actually pull off some pretty impressive stuff. Most of the limitations come from a lack of memory (ROM and RAM) and the poor quality of the speakers and audio jack on the physical consoles.

Oh this was phenomenal! I love the organ harmony, and I'm a sucker for the saxophone and guitar soundfonts. It's kinda gross to work with guitar soundfont but it's nice to hear it like this. And I didn't really appreciate the bassline until I heard this deconstruction that mutes it until the end, when that track was unmuted, it was ear candy 🔥

This was amazing. I love seeing songs deconstructed like this because it really gives you a good idea on what makes the song sound so good, all the individual parts working together. I also really appreciate you playing all the channels at the end since even though, yes, you can just listen to the song normally, this lets you have a visual reference, and see it all playing out.
