I love how Andy plays so much Pink Floyd and Gilmour on his demos. Pink Floyd is one of my all time favourites.

Because David Gilmour played some of the Tastiest Guitar Solo's ever. David is a Phenomenal Guitar Player. If you look at other great guys ( besides Andy ) on Y.T. who do Demos ( ex: Brett Kingman ) they All Love David Gilmour. I still believe that David Gilmour is UnderRated. ( not the fastest, but the choice of notes & phrasing is ridiculous ) - Michael Caz - NYC -

I totally agree, this is the best Gilmour-in-a-box I've ever heard. If this video is a good indication, it does seem to favor single coils- if I was a Strat guy I'd be ordering one right now. Nice tones Andy!
@Quicksilver_Cookie10 жыл бұрын
Andy is an extraordinary musician. PGS are so lucky they have him. Best promoter ever. I've tried this pedal in a store and it sounded...mediocre under my control :D This pedal may have unbelievable potential, but you need a competent person to understand how to dial it properly.
@Folkstone5711 жыл бұрын
One of favorite parts of these videos with this fellow is that he is one of the best at showing all the different characteristics of a piece of equipment rather than just going for the sound that panders to the crowd. Most gear has a lot more to offer than just putting all the knobs on 11................

i think that traning the right hand to pick without a pick is great, lots of dynamics, and i can feel the guitar on other ways that i cannot notice with a pick, andy is just a monster on that
What a tone! Great playing Andy very inspiring not may people can pull off Gilmour that well. Thanks

Nice sounding pedal and great guitar work. I've been seeing boutique fuzz pedals that cost almost $300 and don't sound this good. I'd say its biggest competition would be the Skreddy Lunar Module, or the Earthquaker Devices Dream Crusher. Also excellent pedals.

I know pedals mix and match with all players and all guitars. But you gotta hand the Stratocaster + Fuzz combo... Its just too good for our ears. Add in some echo and you're in heaven!
@jnh7311 жыл бұрын
It's a fuzz, and it'll do that on "complicated" chords. For power chords you can run your guitar's volume knob at or near max; if you want to get some funky colors without getting too fuzzy just roll back on the volume knob.

@MrBingping10 жыл бұрын
It's very close to gilmours tone, but I don't think the attack is sharp enough. It's "too smooth" still getting one though...
@rioolput1239 жыл бұрын
You're right and my guess it's because Gilmour often used his neck and bridge pickup together on his strat thanks to custom wiring. I might be wrong though but it seems reasonable.
@raizumichin9 жыл бұрын
MrBingping The easy answer to that is probably that Andy plays with his fingers instead of a pick, which would create a softer attack.
@dquillen19 жыл бұрын
MrBingping That's as close as you can get without having Gilmour play the tune... Damn, you people are a tough crowd.

How is this fuzz for chords/individual string articulation? I'm looking for a fuzz that excels at that. Anyone have any suggestions?
@zackguitar075 жыл бұрын
Greg Liscio I’ve owned it for about 6 months and I find that I use the tight mode more because I like the compressed tone better than the scratchy tone that doesn’t work well with a band. Any setting on the fuzz dial will get you beautiful tones, but if you roll back on your guitars’s volume knob at 3-5 you get excellent articulation for strumming chords and hearing individual strings.

Several videos have him using a pick, it's just not really noticeable. Some guys even complained in a comment that "why doesn't he use a pick, blah blah" and then Andy replied on which parts he actually used a pick on. He pretty much told them off and proved that they couldn't even tell a difference.
