My husband casually told me this comment when I was starting my running journey: "You can do anything for five minutes." I now love gaslighting myself with this quote... I will tell myself I can do ANYTHING for five minutes... Ten minutes... An hour... It has really helped me in many parts of my life!
@Zay-qd7jj7 ай бұрын
wait this is actually smart…if you tell yourself to do something for five minutes you’ll probably end up doing it for longer because it’s harder to start something you don’t want to do than finish it when you’re already halfway through. 💯
@thisusernameisablankspace134 ай бұрын
I work with kids and this is exactly how we get them to try stuff even if they don’t want to and that’s how discovered it. It’s also a great way to get yourself to do things like “what’s one math problem” and you end up finishing the entire sheet! I love this tip
@MadisonlovesJesus7773 ай бұрын
@@WHOAAMAGGO Hey, I just wanna say that you are so very loved by God 🫶🩷 He created you for a purpose and cares for you, He even made you in His own image! we have sadly all sinned by breaking Gods laws by doing things like having other gods, making idols, taking Gods name in vain, not keeping the Sabbath, dishonoring our parents, murder, adultery, stealing, lying, coveting, sexual immorality, fornication, divination, witchcraft, and more. Sin leads to death and straight to hell. But God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, who is One with God, to save us! Jesus was crucified on a cross to pay for our sins in our place, He never sinned but died as the sacrifice for us. He rose from the grave on the third day, defeating death! John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” If anyone repents and places their faith in Jesus, they will be saved. Repentance means to have a change of mind; we realize we have done evil against God which leads to turning away from sin and turning to Jesus. when we place our faith in Jesus we trust that He died to pay for our sins and rose again, we trust in Him alone to save us and as the Lord of our lives. unfortunately those who do not repent and trust in Jesus won’t be saved, they will go to hell. But God offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Jesus Christ the Lord. ✝️ The Bible is Gods word. The books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are the gospels of Jesus in the Bible. They have Jesus’s teachings on how to follow Him, His amazing miracles, the death He died to save us through Him, and His resurrection!! Read them to know Truth 🩷 God bless you!

To anyone struggling with studying and mental health: be gentle to youself, try to appreciate every little progress. Try to really rest even if that may be hard for you, it will get better. Try to reduce screen time, move your body, even if it's just a little walk. And try to look at the things you need to learn with curiosity instead of pressure. Also I recommend watching this video: “how to study, when you are struggling with mental health” by fayefilms. All this can be very hard if you're struggling, I find it really hard very often. But dont give up and think you're just lazy or beat yourself up for not being good enough. You are good enough! You're brain just keeps telling you otherwise. Try to make little changes in your routine and your mindset. It's not a quick fix but it can definetly change your life, little by little! Good luck with you journey!

"Here's some advice for all of you." 1. No matter what, do not leave social science for last moment. Too many chapters will overwhelm you at that time. 2. No need of reference books for theory subjects. If you want to use reference books or question banks then stick to any one of your choice. 3. Give sufficient time to language subjects as well as other main subjects. 4. Weekly revision is vital. 5. Study atleast 2 hours a day. 6. Do not compare yourself with others and don't let them demotivate you. 7. Make sure to have proper food diet so you have energy to work. 8. Pay attention in lectures. 9. I used to struggle with this a lot, but what really helps me is asking myself, "Am I truly tired, or am I just procrastinating?" Sometimes, in the middle of studying, I’ll feel the urge to stop and start scrolling through my phone or watching TV. I used to interpret that as being "tired," but in reality, I was just so stressed that my mind was looking for ways to avoid the task. What has really helped me is studying in a Discord server with my camera on, where I can see others staying focused. It reminds me that I'm not alone, and being part of a group holds me accountable. I also like to take short breaks every 30-40 minutes. I’ll get up, grab some fresh air by the window, and drink water. These breaks only take about 5 minutes, and I make sure not to touch my phone or anything distracting during that time. Lastly, I recommend connecting with friends at least once a day IN THE EVENING/ NIGHT. Even if it’s just 30 minutes of small talk, it gives me something to look forward to and helps me decompress after studying. Knowing I’ll have that time makes it easier to push through my tasks. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s what has worked for me! 💖

The game changer for me when studying theory/boring material is to get Chat GPT to explain each concept to me. This way, you're not just reading and trying to memorize things but you're actually comprehending everything, and this way, it's way easier to remember it. It also helps a lot with difficult exams because you can come up with the answer through logic rather than having to dig definitions out of your brain. It's sounds like it would take extra time to go through Chat GPT rather than simply reading the textbook but it saves me days of revision. Once you understand a concept, it stays with you forever.

It is worth doing homework and studying in between classes, on the bus, or in odd places if it means I can go to sleep on time. If the lethargy is unbearable, you might want to go to the doc if you can, it could be a deficiency or health issue! For me it was adhd. The faster you sort this out, the less time your health will keep you from reaching your potential!

Thank you, it got me thinking to change. Normally if I feel tired, I'm like I need to sleep before I get more tired so I just go to sleep and put everything off

Going to bed early, is also a good trick, cause the (stress) hormone cortilso in the body has a circardian rythm that starts to get higher at about 2 in the morning and then has a peak at about 8:30 in the morning, making you more awake and able to focs.

I tried a really useful hack when I had a really reaaaaaaaallyyy big regional final, I was always studying and putting my focus just on study, but I was feeling so tired and so sleepy during noon or after noon so I was just staring at a random place for 10 min without sleeping and doing a single exercise for 10 times and then do another activity other than my phone for 10 minutes, it can be drinking water it can be eating just smth simple, this hack called 10/10/10 idk how it helped me cause I'm a very lazy person but it work and even I'd I didn't get a really good grade it payed off and I didn't fail and that's what it's important cuz I didn't work really hard in the first session and it effected on the second session TvT but I did it🎉 And by the way I really love your videos Amy, I had watches a lot of study videos but yours is really unique🎀

Pro tip: Do not push yourself if you’re feeling sick! I did, developed chronic fatigue syndrome as a result and I’m now on my 8th year of being disabled.

OMG, Thea looks so good already. I study medicine and my medschool doesn't give us access to short answer questions they made for old exams so I've struggled to find another way to study them as I've best learn with practice questions. Definitely going to be trying it for my finals this year. I'll update with the result :)

I have been looking for a few days for videos from which I can learn to have more motivation for school or simply to get better. Your video has been the most helpful so far (because I often just don't learn because I'm too tired) and the most sympathetic ❤😊 Big Thank you! Love your channel!

Why did this pop up at the exact time I was feeling low energy for some days. I had a burnout too because exams are near and I studied too intensly. It's like KZbin read my mind.💀

I have a tip . I always used to think if i put a timer ( not as in limited time but like a timer where u can see how much time is passing by ) then i wouldn't be able to focus . But yesterday i made a time lapse and i was so motivated to study again

Personally, the go-to for me is the non-negotiables. I haven't yet integrated them in my life, but I feel they will be a good choice if you can not prioritize your task accordingly. I also struggle with focusing in class. I have a lot of distractions, such as birds flying outside of the window, or the teacher dropping a pen, or my classmates whispering about something. And I have friends who like don't study at all, which is not convenient because they also distract me. I also often found that playing with my phone is causing me more stress than simply taking a nap or doing something creative, like making a picture out of pieces of colorful paper or sewing. I think I'm going to watch more of your videos. But in the meantime, I have to make my non-negotiable list😊
