I've always been fascinated by the Minoans... such an old civilization, but learning about them never gets old! And wow, your effects get better and better with every video... love the 3D palace part!

Thanks Cy! The Minoan series will continue and will eventually be topped off with a lengthy video going through their complete history!

Great video. I've got several books on minoan crete and the bronze age collapse but having the visuals and map of the proposed mycenean (Dorian/pelasgian) invasion showing the invasion sparked some thoughts that the text alone couldn't ❤✌

Nice video. I didn't know that it was possible to reconstruct the Mycenaean movements across Crete to such an extent.

Thanks! It's a reconstruction based on the limited archeological finds, but by no means complete!

Thanks for another great video. I love watching your channel, but there is one odd thing about the fall/decline of the Minoan: how can historians, and archaeologists say, that their fleet was just no more? As we know from modern times, tsunami, like the one after Thera's eruption can destroy ships only in harbours and in only very specific areas, not everywhere around the aegean. So either the destruction of fleet by just a eruption/tsunami is just bullshit, or the fleet must have been gathered somewhere in one location and be destroyed there. If we allow the possibility of a single destruction and since we know that Thera was evacuated and settlers came back to rebuild after the initial minor eruptions, I would suggest to look around the island for shipwrecks (if we have a technology to do that).

Oh another Wannaxtv video . Nice . Well there is another theory about the fall of the minoans . And some historians base this upon griffin Warrior tomb found outside pylos … He was buried with minoan goods … And that theory says the myceneans were invited in . That Knossos was losing it dominant position on crete . And that the ruler of crete then hired mycenean soldiers soldiers to fight for him … And after the job was done . The mycenean soldiers turned on their former boss… Overthrow him and set themself up as the new ruling elite …

I've always wondered - what happened to The Minoans after they fell? Did they influence other cultures like the Etruscans/ Greek tribes/ Phoenicians?

They mainly stayed on Crete as an underclass, and in some cases likely had their own autonomous settlements. Eteocretan language until 3rd century BCE.
