I absolutely love and respect Wanda!!! She is unique.. The real queen of rock'n'roll! The wildest and also the kindest woman in rock'n'roll, country and pop music scene of the '50s and '60s. I love the way she changed the lyrics in "I kept thinking about Jerry Lee couldn't keep from crying When he was born in Ferriday, I was living down the line I'm wondering where in the world could Jerry Lee be I been looking for him, clear through Tennessee". They are still friends and they did their first tour in 1956 together❤️ They are still the best!!! Long live to (the real) Rock'n'Roll!!! Don't matter of what they say, Rock'n'Roll is here to stay folks!!

Amazing all around, by everyone. This is a Top 10 Dylan cover imo. WJ is wonderful, and the entire band is great, very tight. The video is good too. Good on Jack White for producing this great album.

I read that it Mr. White called Bob Dylan and told him he was producing Wanda Jackson and he wanted her to do a Dylan song and asked for his suggestion. Bob said "Thunder on the Mountain" and it was perfect.

I think he missed the darkness of Wanda’s music on this one, the production. The reverb drenched warbly acetate getting pitchy…..these nuances r the ghosts that accompany her records & provide Ms. Jackson with an unmistakable edge. This sounds like a color photograph when black & white brings so much more for a particular subject.

If Jack White is supposed to be 'Mister Authentic' the why the hell couldn't the director have used a real Piano for the shoot? They've got old amps, old Drum set and old microphones. The Keyboard player is on a Hohner Clavinet D6 from the 70s. It's retro but it sure isn't the sound heard on this track. If space and logistics was an issue they could at least have brought in a Wurlitzer 140!
@Shakes-Off-Fear5 жыл бұрын
horowizard my guess is that the this is the tour band just using the gear they’d be taking on the road, hence the keyboardist just using his own keyboard
