Yeah, notice he's choking on the chocolate strawberry that she prepared. Wonder how he could possibly swallow a whole strawberry. Wanda totally tried to kill him because he started to question her reality. And she had to command Vision to help him because he couldn't do it out of his own free will.
@Wiley_Coyote3 жыл бұрын
Not initially, but yes.. later. You'll see this trend continues. They're enslaved to a script. When an event breaks the script they gain a tiny bit of momentary freedom. Since this is the first instance, Mrs Heart didn't gain much freedom. She was originally looking at her husband and saying "Stop it Arthur", specifically about his aggressive questioning. When he chokes (off script) her enslavement is loosened just enough to drop "Arthur" and redirect the plea to Wanda. Her eyes certainly show what's really going on.
@lukebarrie49903 жыл бұрын
Something that struck me is that Vision had super-speed powers in this, which isn't a typical Vision power. Seems like Wanda also subconsciously misses her brother and layered his powers onto her ideal Vision. His head is also "indestructible" now, unlike Infinity War. So maybe she's trying to to make him unkillable with these enhancements.

I believe that this is all a coping mechanism for Wanda’s trauma. Vision is alive and well and he now has an indestructible head so there is no way that he would be able to die. Also I noticed that there are many similarities between the toaster commercial and the bomb at the beginning of Civil War. It’s almost like she tried to replace it with a more positive memory.
@nickcampanella6363 жыл бұрын
I think the commercials each represent a different trauma that Wanda's gone through, the toaster (made by Stark Industries) is ticking like a bomb because Wanda & Pietro were trapped for days waiting for a Stark bomb to kill them (see Age of Ultron) & in episode 2, the Hydra Strucer watch represents the trauma of herself & Pietro being experimented on with the mind stone by von Strucker
@swanpride3 жыл бұрын

@defiante13 жыл бұрын
Considering in the commercial he specifically says "Forget the past" I'd say that is a fair bet.
@joesladden99143 жыл бұрын
A few things I noticed: Vision only reacts to save Mr Heart when Wanda tells him to, she also loses her sitcom accent when she says this. This leads me to believe that he’s part of the creation she’s fueling. Potentially somebody else is making her powers do this or it’s because of all the loss she’s had. The bomb sounds from the toaster almost definitely are linked to the stark bomb her and her brother waited for to know if they would die when they were trapped in sokovian rubble before their experiments. The toaster also had the only colour in the entire episode (some red), but I’m not sure about that significance. The noise is also Iron Mans repulsor.

Even though I wasn't alive during that era, I love watching old black and white sitcoms. The production team went above and beyond! I love the housewife and working husband trope that Wanda and Vision play, and Agnes nosy neighbor is spot on! I liked that it got very dark with Vision's boss choking and his wife repeating herself, it seemed like Wanda is definitely the puppet master behind this sitcom reality, it seemed as if she commanded Vision to save his choking boss. And I think the reason why Vision was glitching is because Wanda has control, so he mimicks whatever she wants him to do. SWORD watching Wanda def gave me CHILLS!!!

@@pixel_arts4302 So what does that have to do with the lobster? She threw him into the air and killed people. Finally catching up... Nice reaction, guys. Interesting point about people starting off with Marvel on this show. I think older ladies & gents could watch this show and actually become interested in Marvel.

It was great to see Debra Jo Rupp ( the Mom from That 70's Show ) again. She is my favorite TV mom of all time. I still think it invalidates the Emmy awards that she NEVER won one for her role as Kitty!

2 things. The Stark toaster commercial. When the lady pressed the button, it sounded like the repulsor ray. The Wine being poured into the glass (in the trailers, not this episode), the name on the label was latin for House of M.

In the "Making of" episode they explain that they used all the old "special effects" methods from the 50's in this episodes. Great review.

I believe Vision’s job being mysterious is a takeoff on old sitcoms where the Dad worked in an office doing a job that is never mentioned. Has a boss, takes meetings, has an office and is productive but at what we never know.

This is the perfect show for us millennials, who lived through the old references as well as the new. Bewitched was way before our time, but I remember it being on TV a lot when I was kid, and of course all the other more modern TV shows and movies. It draws on so much.

According to what they said, ads like the toaster one have hidden clues about the future of the MCU or something like that.

The second commercial dealt on time, which is an obvious tie in for Doctor Strange 2.
