I watched the episode yesterday and I've watched several reactions since. The more I think about it the more I think that Wanda seeing Vision as dead was a threat. Being shown to Wanda by whoever is doing this. When Wanda breaks character, and leading up to her sending Geraldine/Monica through the wall and out of the town, she appears calm and threatening. The moment after she does it her whole demeanor changes. She looks at her hands and the hole through the walls in shock. Like, "What did I just do?!" It looks like something else took her over when she did that to Monica. Something that wants to preserve this illusion. Something that wants to keep Wanda in it. This lends even more to the idea that someone is keeping her there and is trying to placate her with being able to have a life with Vision. Then she closes the wall, freaked out and trying to cover up what just happened. When Vision comes back in and she sees him dead, it's a threat from whoever is keeping her here to stick with the program or this will be her reality again. The other important thing about Vision though happens immediately after that. He suggests they can leave. She disagrees and says that they can't. Indicating that this is the only place that Vision can be alive. But for me this also may confirm what I had long suspected to this point. Vision is actually there somehow. Why else would he be questioning the events going on around him if he was just an illusion? Created by Wanda or someone else. If he was a creation meant to keep Wanda there, why would he immediately after what happened suggest that they could leave? And then look concerned after her response. He's there with her. He doesn't know everything that's happening, but he knows something is wrong and he's trying to figure it out. While also being there to support Wanda, because he loves her. The good news is that we may have just witnessed how this show could actually bring him back in the end. When the guy in the hazmat suit crosses the barrier and his suit turns into a beekeeper outfit, the line attached to him starts to turn into an old 70s-style jump rope. The important part is that when they pull it back in, it still looks like that. The same thing happens with Monica's clothes, hair, and makeup. She doesn't come back out in what she was wearing when she went in. That means that things created within this illusion can actually come back out into the real world and remain real. So it may be possible that Vision could come out somehow is his living form and remain alive for real. We'll see.

Yes I’ve noticed this too. There have been too many times where Wanda seems confused about what’s happening or surprised for her to be in total control. I think Elizabeth Olsen is doing an amazing balancing being menacing while in the middle of a comedic sitcom AND leaving hints for the audience that she is somehow also being manipulated or under some “spell”.

I think Wanda might've brought Vision back to life. In episode 3, the scene where Vision and Wanda were in the nursery, we saw Wanda turn those butterfly decorations to life. She could have done the same to Vision and even those children. Also, the scene where the wire turned into the jumprope and even when Monica came back to the real world with those 70s type clothing just shows that whatever was made in "Wanda's world" doesn't change back to it's regular form once released back into the real world. So maybe there could be a possibility that Vision could be alive and once he steps out into the real world he will still live on?!? However, maybe not in his Original state but in his damaged state.

@bananaSeokjin3 жыл бұрын
I don’t consider that scene so much to be about Wanda being “at peace “with Natasha or especially Vision’s death. To me, that scene tells us that neither of them are able to be brought back with the use of the gauntlet and Clint is trying to console her. It also (to me) hints that Clint knows she was already trying to figure out how to bring them/him back. He’s telling her it’s impossible to do so. Wanda doesn’t really talk a lot in that scene so it’s hard to know where she’s at emotionally. Also, Vision is a weird case, since he was created by Tony and Bruce and brought to life with the scepter (mind stone). Wanda knows this just like she knows that her powers came from the mind stone (or at least were unlocked by the mind stone). And I doubt she’d given up even then on bringing him back. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that Vision is not human and therefore doesn’t die like humans do- so he is not held by the same constraints humans are for existence. For Clint, it’s horrible that Natasha had to sacrifice herself but he can console himself knowing that she would consider the sacrifice worth it to bring his family back to him. He’s trying to console Wanda with that same thought. But Vision’s death was not a sacrifice for the greater good and actually lead to the Snap happening-a horrible event. Personally, I think Wanda blames herself for his death; If she had just been stronger, she could’ve held off Thanos from both killing him and snapping half the universe out of existence. And this makes her ripe to be either manipulated or put under some spell.

Remember, she is EXTREMELY powerful. Within this reality that she has created, she is animating the corps of Vision, but I believe he is becoming ALIVE again. I think, my crackpot theory, that she is creating a Mind Stone to replace what Thanos took. This would then represent the individuality that Vision has been showing in these last two episodes, and especially the last episode. Whatever is really happening, it is really cool to speculate. This show's writing is great. I hypothesize from all the bread crumbs marvel has dropped in previous episodes that this will be an introduction to the multiverse and mutant powers being spread into the MCU finally. The hint in this episode is the jumprope. The first object seen to come out of the bubble having changed from the inside. Monica Rambeau actually becomes Spectrum in the comics so this will probably introduce her powers in future episodes after having being pushed out. The different eras is explained per the multiverse. Same characters, different verses on top of the actual town that really exists. If you notice, the policeman went towards the town to which they called East View as if it were just another day. Some event or catastrophe is going to happen that involves the spread of the radiation that Darcy mentioned in this episode (a foreshadowing hint). My guess is this bubble is a "multiverse" created by Wanda to keep Vision in grief but maybe an alternate version of Wanda has trapped her? Then this will probably lead into the Dr Strange movie Multiverse of Madness that will more than likely deal with the aftermath and introduction of mutant abilities and broken timelines. I wouldn't even be surprised if Strange pops up later in the season. BUT again all speculation which is why this show is GREAT.
@IceMetalPunk3 жыл бұрын
A few notes: 1. Wanda is definitely in control of Westview's reality, but the real question is whether she's in control of herself or not. Both psychologically and also magically, regarding both mental stability or external manipulation by some third party. It really could go any direction from here. 2. When Monica was launched out of Westview, she flew through two walls and a fence before hitting the edge of the bubble. Which means when she passed the bubble, she was literally breaking the fourth wall out of the TV show. 3. On the investigation board, where they were compiling the real IDs of all the characters in Westview, there is only one person who doesn't have a positive ID: Agnes. There's been a lot of speculation that Agnes is actually Agatha Harkness. (In the comics, Agatha Harkness is a witch who is closely associated with Wanda, and has a huge role in the House of M storyline that WandaVision is based on.) There's no confirmation of whether Agatha is actually going to be part of the show, but between her name, the way she seems a bit more aware than most other residents, and her rabbit Mr. Scratchy (in the comics, Agatha's son's name is Nicholas Scratch), the clues are really pointing toward that, unless they're all just misdirection and Easter eggs. Thing is that in the House of M story, Agatha is working for Mephisto (basically the Marvel Comics devil), and we haven't yet seen any indication that Mephisto is around in the show, so everything's just massive speculation so far, with some people even suggesting Agnes's husband Ralph -- who we've heard about in every in-bubble episode but never seen -- might be Mephisto after all. 4. At the same time Wanda was gathering her power to boot Monica out, that's also when, just outside, Herb was starting to gain a little awareness and trying to tell Vision they're trapped. Immediately after, she sees Zombie Vision for a moment. Whether that means she's magically puppeting his actual corpse or not, I'm not sure, though I think she is. But the important thing to notice is that when she's focusing her powers on one thing, like kicking Monica out, a bit of reality seems to seep in everywhere else, like she loses her grip on the rest of the town. Which means she's not all-powerful, and breaking her concentration by making her focus on one thing might be the way to stop her. 5. This last one isn't a note, but just a comment from me: Lizzie Olsen deserves all the awards for her performance in this series. She studied each era of sitcom television so she could properly mimic the speech patterns and movements of the era, and it shows. On top of that, she switches from sitcom to villain to victim in the blink of an eye, and she portrays each so well and so subtly. The smallest little head tilt and frown, and she's suddenly terrifying. And that little voice waver when she said "you're not my neighbor, and you're definitely not my friend" -- in that one subtle fraction of a second, she conveyed a complicated mixture of anger, fear, and pain. And then right back into villain with "she left, honey", and right back into pain when she sees Zombie Vision. Seriously, awards shows need to stop snubbing comics media and give her a freaking Emmy!

But Feige pulled it bc he thought it would spoil too much. So...I definitely think she’s puppeting his body but in doing so he’s clearly still vision which is allowing him to figure out that something is off. @MaJeliv, 19:45 exactly! I think we've been watching Wanda go through the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance. Vision was Wanda's last anchor to reality and with him gone, she's lost. I think Wanda has been going through the five stages since Infinity War and it started when we watched her go through denial. Endgame moved things along when she unleashed her anger on Thanos, and now we're at the bargaining phase here with WandaVision. If the MCU was ever going to introduce Mephisto, what better way than this? He cannot make people do things against there will. He bargains with them. With Wanda feeling pretty low she would have been susceptible to any offer he made her. I think we know what deal was: he eased her suffering by suppressing her memories and in exchange he gets her children--remember the lines in the second episode, "the devil's in the details," and "that's not the only place he is?" We also shouldn't over look the fact that the episode went out of its way to tell us that everything Westview was doing was "for the children." They weren't doing something to benefit children, as the town had no children. They were doing everything they could to make Wanda feel at ease, happy so that the higher power could have her children. Agnes has been manipulating Wanda since she came on to the scene. It was Agnes that put the idea that the heart on the calendar was a reminder of her wedding anniversary. It was also Agnes' idea that Wanda please her husband in the bedroom. And yes, it was Agnes who introduced her to Dotty and her magic show for the children, but to what end? This show has shown Agnes in distress, so I don't think she's doing these things just to do them. She's jokingly asked all who'd listen to disappear her husband Ralph, which also seemed like a cry for help to me. In the 50s and 60s women likely didn't openly speak out about trouble at home. I wonder what bargain she might have made with Mephisto that requires her to be his agent in Wanda's reality. I also think that it is Agnes who's broadcasting the events of WandaVision, as Wanda doesn't want to be found or disturbed by the outside world. I think Agnes is doing it to keep Mephisto keyed into the goings on. I also think that it is Agnes who's censoring the broadcast as she doesn't want Mephisto to know that their have been a few hiccups along the way that could put her own bargain and soul in jeopardy. I can't wait to see how this ends, though I don't want it to, lol. Mephisto sets up so much as he's connected to Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, the Fantastic Four, IPs not yet introduced. As these are projects soon to come, Mephisto would be the ideal big bad for phase four, in my opinion.

It could possibly be a mystically convergent location where her power is amplified enabling her to do what she's doing. The hexagonal shape might play into this also. Great episode. I'm excited to see what happens next!

How awesome is it that in the what...13 or 14 years (in universe) since her introduction Darcey has gone from an uninterested poli sci undergrad on weird work study to a full on doctorate in astrophysics who is called in by secret government agencies for consultation?

There are 9 episodes, not 6. EPpisode 5 will be the 80s, episode 6 the 90s, and episodes 7-9 will be the 00s to present day and that's where all the action will happen.

This is practically MCU's take on the House of M storyline in the comics (Wanda creates a whole reality where mutants made up 90% of the world's population). But, when that reality started spiraling out of control (e.g. her brother quicksilver dying), she rid the world of mutants. With this case, I'm predicting she'll be creating the mutants as a result of the series. The series is basically delving deep into Wanda's trauma with losing Vision and Pietro, especially since Wanda has had little to no time to grieve since she lost Vision bc of the blip. Also, having the outcome(s) of the series dub her the Scarlet Witch Also, Jersey City is not far since this is taking place in New Jersey (Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel's hometown).

This. Also don't forget Spectrum. Monic Rambeau gains Captain Marvel type abilities at some point and this was a perfect intro to how these types of abilities will start to happen. It also will probably introduce the actually multiverse and the aftermath of what happens here will probably feed into Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness.

I love that marvel is getting darker. I think wanda has reanimated visions corpse and since vision is a synthazoid (synthetic man) and wanda has power derived from the mind stone, she has essentially brought him back to life. The mind stone gave vision his power and consciousness. His personality was Jarvis. Just like Ultron had his personality created from Tony. an AI to protect the world and the mind stone gave Ultron his consciousness. I think wanda has that power from the mind stone to give consciousness.just a theory. I Enjoy your videos!!!

think the next episode will deal with Wanda's view point before entering this bubble and how the bubble is created and I think that will playout in two episodes with the background of the other witches involved in manipulating Wanda (notice that Agnes doesn't have an I.D. on the profile board) and leading up to the conclusion in the last three episodes with a big bang. This series is following a three act story and we are now in the 2nd act revealing the narrative which I'm just saying will last for maybe two episodes and start the conclusion in episodes seven through nine.

Wanda has been through so much. Her parents were killed. She was kidnapped. She was experimented on. Then her brother died, after she realized she was fighting for the enemy. Then she finds a family. But then she fails to control the bomb in Sakovia. The Avengers and mainly she gets blamed for it. Then her Avengers family breaks up. Then they put her under house arrest. Then she finally falls in love. Then she has to kill the love of her life (Vision) with her bare hands, only for him to be brought back to life, then murdered in front of her again. Then she sees half her friends disappearing into dust. Then she gets dusted. Then she comes back and finds out Natasha is dead already. Then she watches Tony die in front of her. I mean, holy crap.

Wanda's powers are identical to the Reality Stone so she can make reality whatever she wants on a scale limited to the area of the energy field she made to contain her little pocket reality. It is strange to me that because of how the character was introduced into the MCU because at the time Marvel was not allowed to call them Mutants and instead had her get her mowers from the scepter Loki used in Avengers one which contained the Mind stone, that her powers would be the same as one of the other stones entirely. Almost like the connection between Wanda and Vision was preset because they were both given their abilities from the same Infinity stone. I only know from rumors that after the events of End Game Wanda went into hiding and was supposed to see a shrink to help her cope with the death of Vision. While she was in this secret location she apparently started binge watching old sitcoms ( remember she is not from the US ) and that is where she drew the inspiration for this world she made. Now if anyone is influencing her or if she is just having a mental breakdown is yet to be seen, but we will get more episodes like this or split between inside the field and outside as we go. I never heard how many episodes there were going to be. One thing that I noticed just at the end of this episode where Wanda and Vision sit down on the sofa that when Vision picks up the remote ( a modern looking one ) and turns on the TV that whole thing is out of place for the time period as that kind of remote for the TV was not developed until the 1980's I believe when TV's stopped having dials on the front for changing the channel manually. I could be wrong though and since Darcy established that they seem to switching decades every episode I guess the 1980's are next.

@MaJeliv 19:15 Your dad said Agnes is not on the wall, but if you go look again you can see she is, but they do a good job and hiding her real name... So there still maybe something shady with her, which I fully expect it to be, but she is definitely up on that white board.

It would be interesting if there was a Marvel show dealing with the consequences of all these people that came back from being erased by Thanos. How the Word copped with that, maybe Shield or Sword creating a crisis management organization to find a way to fit all the people back in somehow. (cause obviously a lot of them cannot have their old jobs back, etc...and others have found other mates)

I think the biggest case against this being “all Wanda” is the fact that they said it IS “all Wanda” halfway through the season. And Wanda stating that she has everything in control just solidifies that she is NOT in control. There’s got to be a twist; there have been too many hints about it already. This episode is the confirmation for me that it’s not Wanda doing everything. Or at the least she is being manipulated or under some spell to do this.

I don't know why it's hard to believe that Wanda's doing all this! She has the power to warp reality to anything her hearts desire! Everything that's happened is real. It's not in her head! Kevin fiege confirmed what happened with Wanda and vision b4 this series started.he made an after credit scene in endgame that he didn't use. he'll probably use it for this series. Which is 9 btw. This is going to tie in to Dr strange.

Well the Mephisto theory comes from the comics cause there Mephisto is sort of the "baby daddy" of the twins. But it could something simpler, Wanda is using the Mind Stone to bring back Vision and it all went tits up. Although since whatever comes out of her reality stays "changed" Vision might actually come back.

Darcy is Jane assistant not sister. Also agnes was on the wall but without ID and that Dottie wasn’t on the wall at all. Meaning those two are huge suspect. I think Dottie might be disguise as mephisto which explain the red blood and how he knows that someone is trying to stop Wanda reality which lead to him censoring the broadcasting. Great reaction can’t wait for the next episode and I hope is longer lol. God bless you all.

Personally, I think Wanda is being controlled because of how great a hero she is in the other films and if it had to be someone, it would be Agnes or Agatha Harkness which is her real name. She works for Mephisto in the comics. Or, this show could lead for Wands being the villain in Doctor Strange 2. This show is great because it is a mystery and the agents in the show were just as curious about the show as we are haha.

From that day on, a piece of Chthon would live in Wanda Maximoff, and would forever alter her destiny, as it would amplify her powers to lengths no one would expect eventually chthon started to corrupt wanda after her brother pietro was killed by ultron and vision was the first to Notice the change in her behavior before they could stop her chthon took her mind over and revived pietro as his vessel and started a heated battle which destroyed the headquarters vision called out to wanda telling her she can resist him she said her brother would die again vision said it wasn't pietro but a lie and scarlet witch mamaged to break free of the demonic being She than contained his soul and wondered what to do with it than suddenely the high evolutionary who had been watching the whole time appeared and finished what he started years ago and seemingly destroyed chthon he than erased their memories of the battle and restored the building to better prepare them for thanos attack and laid pietro to slumber in peace before leaving. Chthon is the big bad. And josh stamberg is the high evolutionary.
