This is a TV series reaction to my first time watching WandaVision in the MCU! This reaction video contains Episode 7 - Breaking the Fourth Wall, Episode 8 - Previously On and Episode 9 - The Series Finale. My main prediction about these episodes was SO wrong, but that's what makes this fun. It's crazy that we got a Scarlet Witch name drop and official reveal. And Vision against White Vision was hella fun. Make sure to stick around to the end of this video for my full thoughts and review and thank you so much for watching!

IMPORTANT: I did watch the first credits scene of Episode 9 but I must have accidentally edited it out of this reaction - my bad! My reaction to it was literally just me yelling "NICK FURY!!!" 😂😂 Anyway, what a phenomenal series this was, holy cow. I can't WAIT to rewatch this one and look out for all the small details leading up to Episode 7. The visuals, the dialogue, the acting - it was all superb. Please remember not to spoil anything coming up in future MCU shows and films. And thank you so much for watching! Elizabeth Olsen is one of the best actors of this age and this show prooves it. Her ability to sell humor as a sitcom housewife, intimidation as a menacing presence, in combination with her grief, anger, and pain for the loss of a loved one is incredible. I was flabbergasted when I heard that studios weren't hiring her because of a stigma against actors in superhero projects

As much as I loved the love persevering line, I also love how Wanda describes grief. It really is a wave that keeps crashing into you and when you think that it's over, a new wave hits you. We never really remove ourselves from the waves but eventually, the waves become smaller. It's always there but it doesn't hurt as much. And to those that feel like they are being swept away by the waves, keep fighting.

Episode 8 is some of my favorite material in the MCU period. I particularly love how it reframed all of the sitcom stuff- the sitcoms are Wanda’s coping mechanism, but they’re also inescapably attached to the trauma she’s trying to bury. The image of the tv playing next to the bomb is burned into my brain. That image is the entire show in microcosm.

Wanda has been my favourite MCU character since she was introduced, and WandaVision (which I've now watched 4-5 times) completely solidified how at the heart of it all she's dealing with deep trauma from so many parts of her life and is simply Trying Her Best but not in conventional ways. I cry at the end of this show every time lol I feel her grief so personally even though I cannot relate to her life at all. Grief does crazy things to you and I think WV shows it in a really metaphorical way ❤

This show had so much to enjoy: The sitcom vibes, the wonderful acting (especially from Olsen and Hahn....both simply amazing), some of the dialogue ("What is grief, if not love persevering?"), the Vision vs Vision philosophy-battle....just an absolute pleasure. And it's perfectly structured to break down the way you did too (1-3 etc) as - if i'm not mistaken - 1-3 you get almost pure sitcom with some "what's going on here?" moments; 4-6 you get the real world outside the Hex sprinkled in, and ep 7 onward you get "The Age of Agatha" (

Yeah, your explanation of grief made a lot of sense. I used to think my lack of grief was just my brains way of blocking the trauma so I didn't go insane. Now I think I just may be an unfeeling sociopath. No but seriously, I get it. The closest to you pass, you feel it. I actively tried to stop making friendships in my life because the less people you have close, the less you have to hurt and go through that. But that will make losing the ones closest to you almost impossibly unbearable... And you don't realize until it's too late. So it's very cool to hear that commentary. Very encouraging.

Kaiielle, your reaction to WandaVision was a treat to watch. Heartfelt and sensitive, and with so much thoughtfulness to your comments (including those added during editing 😉). The comics-savvy among us had suspicions about Agnes from the start, which only got stronger as the series went on. Agatha Harkness was often associated with the Scarlet Witch in the original stories, although typically as a mentor and ally, not as an antagonist. We also assumed that Monica would gain super powers at some point during the show. At the same time, I imagine that very few of us guessed exactly how this series would end, especially with Vision. I know I was surprised by some of the story's twists and turns. And I cried at pretty much the same points you did. Speaking of Vision, Paul Bettany pranked the fans hard just prior to the finale. He tweeted that we'd see him opposite an actor with whom he'd always wanted to perform. As it turned out, he meant himself 😆 This series showcased such amazing creativity and talent from everyone involved: Recreating the sets, the filming conventions and the comedy style of multiple decades was no small feat, and the staff did an astonishing job. And it offered Elizabeth and Paul the opportunity to demonstrate just how much talent they have. It was delightful to watch them both do comedy so well, especially after watching them do superheroes together over the years. Only time will tell whether Wanda finds happiness in the end. And like you, I really hope she does.❤🧙‍♀

I always understood it as him having his mom's power to read thoughts, but Agnes was blocking it. When she captures Wanda, she says "My thoughts are not available to you, toots. They never were." So glad you finished so I can say things without spoiling it for you! A LOT of the source material for this miniseries was two back to back arcs in the West Coast Avengers comic from about 1989-1991 and the second Vision and Scarlet Witch maxiseries from 1985. In particular, the scene of Vision's dissected body is lifted almost directly from a double page spread in West Coast Avengers issue 43 -- it's ***SO*** comics accurate that despite the sadness of the scene I was cheering. The emotionless white Vision comes from that arc as well. I loved this series, not just because of the stellar acting and storytelling but because it so faithfully recreated a LOT of story beats of actual 1980s Marvel Comics (although it told the story in its own way, almost BETTER than the source material ... and the source material was by one of their best creators, John Byrne, which says a lot). That's all I'm going to say. I wanna say more about Monica, but I don't think I can talk about the comics version without spoiling. I guess I can say in the comics she has the same powers demonstrated in this series, but they came from a different source, not from Wanda. Comics Monica is definitely a fan favorite. Can't wait for Falcon & the Winter Soldier!!!!!

I think you're partially correct about grief, but I think it's us still holding on to someone or something that is gone. It's our dysfunction in not being able to detach and move past the actuality and pass into fond memories. Grief is our way of denial in not being about to let ourselves release the thing. Once we move past grief, we find a deeper and healthier love based on memories that can buttress us as we go about our lives, rather than holding us back.

My two biggest thoughts at the end of this series were, first, that Wanda hadn’t really atoned or been punished for all the pain she inflicted, and second, that I really, really wanted her to have a happy ending. When Agatha revealed her name at the end of episode 7, I gasped and jumped up and down, because I remembered the name from reading the Fantastic Four comics in the early 1970s. She was Reed & Sue Richard’s’ nanny, and she was revealed as a powerhouse when the Four were nearly defeated by an interdimensional baddy, & Agatha basically said, “I got this.” All over the internet, people have been quoting “Grief is love persevering” ever since this show came out.

I loved how Wanda's Vision tries to prepare her to maybe meet White Vision in the future by listing his various forms and finishing with, "Who knows what I might be next?" And then he leads her with, "We have said good-bye before, so it stands to reason..." Which prompts her to add, "We'll say hello again." Vision was my favorite hero when I was reading my brother's Marvel comic collection back in the 1970s; it made me happy that they portrayed him well in the MCU.

Vision isn't gone, though... It's the end of Wanda's version of Vision, but the physical form with restored memories, the white Vision, still exists in the world. He just flew off to think things over... I love that the fight between the Visions was resolved through philosophy and opening up memories... it is, like you said, very 'Vision' and subverts the usual tropes, but that this was just kind of left hanging was one of the big critiques of this episode for me. As for weather or not he'll come back, who knows... nothing to spoil there since nothing has been announced one way or the other, but the possibility exists. This follows similar events to the comics where the original Vision was killed, but he was rebuilt in white with no memories of his past self. The white Vision in the comics was more cold and calculating... more machine-like... but still a hero. From what I understand, this was done because the guy writing the comics at the time really didn't like the Wanda/Vision romance. He spent much of the 80s and 90s like this.

btw in the End Credits both versions of Wanda ARE her. She's astral projecting, the same as Doctor Strange was in his film. The difference is her physical body doesn't have to sleep whilst she's astral projecting. She's that powerful. Strange was astral projecting while he was sleeping so he could get rest and study the mystic arts more.

Happy to see you needing to rewatch the series from the beginning. To be even more fun, I suggest you to rewatch all movies with Wanda and Vision: Ultron, Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame.

This show was great and also demonstrates while she's not physically the strongest Avenger (that's between Hulk, Thor and Captain Marvel) Wanda is BY FAR the most powerful Avenger. The crazy thing is we still haven't seen her full potential in the MCU. So well acted and written everything about it is top tier

It’s really great watching these through you again. I came to the MCU after infinity war and even though I had been a fan of comic book movies beforehand I really didn’t know how interconnected all these stories became. So after doing a full watch myself before going to see Endgame I understood how amazing all these stories were. I think for me it got ruined by the fans theorizing or setting expectations from the comics instead of just letting myself go on the ride. So I appreciate you going on this ride and I hope you don’t ever get spoilers because it’s just so much fun to see your reaction of things.

Episode 8 is a lot, but in the best way. The origin story of Agnus aka Agatha Harkness and all the unseen parts of Wanda’s life we became privy to was great. Witnessing how Wanda accidentally allowed her grief to take over and rewrite reality and create a brand new Vision from scratch was very moving as well as astounding. There have been examples of Wanda functioning as if she is all 6 Infinity Stones: Mind-when she taps into Agatha’s mind and access her memory of the other witches Space- right before she did that she was in front of Agatha, snaps her fingers and is then behind her Reality & Time- Everything that happened in the “Hex” was an example of her rewriting reality and changing the time periods or rewinding time to fit her reality Power- anytime Wanda used her magic as a weapon or a projectile of actual physical force Soul- Creating the lives of Vision, Tommy and Billy You are, however, the first reactor I’ve seen so far, to hear the line, “…but what is grief, if not love persevering?” and have a intellectual response as opposed to an emotional one. Everyone else hears Vision say that and reacts with, “Wow” , “That’s deep”, “That’s so true”, or something along those lines. You went to, “Hmm, that reminds me of something else I read, interesting”. 🤔😁

I have been enjoying your reactions. I love that you are coming into the marvel movies without the background of knowing the comics. I feel WandaVision is the biggest movie/tvshow that shows this. Agnes says Dottie is running the whole show. The Fans that knew the comics were thrown so hard by that misdirect. And yes, the fans saw Agatha-Agnes connection right away. But Your reaction shows, there was plenty of other things for a non-comic person to get and have fun with. Pietro from X-men movie, was a shock to us all. I look forward to your Falcon and Winter Soldier reaction especially since you have enjoyed the Captain America movies so much.

Marvel doesn't stay true to its comic book source material hardly at all if ever for these movies and shows anyway. So in my opinion nothing could really get spoiled for non comic book readers or fans when they watch these

Great reaction. So in the end credit scene Wanda was able to astral project so she was making tea while simultaneously reading the Darkhold. Remember Doctor Strange can do that and she’s prophesied to be more powerful than the sorcerer supreme. That line Vision said “But what is grief if not love persevering” hit me hard when this first came out because my mom passed the a year before this so that was close to home. And the grief Wanda showed as she created the town…you couldn’t help but feel it. If it wasn’t explained the commercials all were key to Wanda’s life. So the Nexus commercial is because she is a Nexus being. The Stark toaster was the missile that bombed their home. The Strucker watch was for the scientist in Age of Ultron that experimented on her and her brother and Lagos was where she accidentally destroyed the building in Captain America Civil War.

I really loved the pacing of this series, the way it takes you on a ride and your wondering wtf is going on and then as u start to figure it out it hits the gas. The Agatha reveal was hilarious to me lol and ya totally caught me off guard. You mentioned the different stages of grief, if you remember back in Endgame when they all came back from getting the infinity stones after Natasha sacrificed herself, they're all standing around by the lake and professor Hulk throws bench, in that scene each character represents a different emotion and different stage of grief, I saw a good KZbin video about it lol. But ya excellent series, I love Wanda, I love Elizabeth Olsen, and l guess I'll just say that we'll have to keep going on our marvel journey to see if and when we'll see her again 😜

Agatha is still in Westview but she is trapped inside her own body that's why Wanda said "not somewhere". We definitely haven't seen the last of her cause she will have her own series next year. The name keeps changing but atm it's just Agatha. Wanda is actually both in the last scene, she is drinking tea meanwhile astral projecting to read the book, kinda like Doctor Strange studying while sleeping on his first movie.
