FINALLY a left handed tutorial! This was very informative and hopefully helpful once I get back out to the range - much thanks from Los Angeles

… one of very few left handed tutorials that I found on KZbin to be clear 😂

Having similar issues and after checking some alignment and videos, I'm making basically the same mistakes so this is really helpful

When working on things like this, is there a preferred club to do it with?

Neat idea with the shadow. I'm surprised nothing was mentioned about him watching his club head the first 1/4 of his swing maybe causing his sway. I know I did that a few years ago and it helped me after I realized I was doing it.
@meandmygolf.11 ай бұрын
Yes the shadow drill is great. Not too worried about him looking in the back swing. Some golfers it can help.

I know, it’s a terrible habit. How did you train yourself not to watch your clubhead during the takeaway?
@flembot11 ай бұрын
@@SD619Native I can't say I had any trick for it. I just had to make a conscious effort not to after realizing I was doing it.

He was also watching his takeaway during his initial swings which probably doesn’t help with consistency

what type of golf club is he using? i’m practicing golf for about 4 months and i have similar issues(shoulder not pointing at target and not enough rotation)with 7-iron but not much of a problem with 6-iron

I believe it was a 7i I was hitting.

why is his back foot set back, not parallel to his front?

My stance was closed because I wanted to stop missing weak left. Piers and Andy were awesome. I can’t thank them enough for this lesson. 🙏 I haven’t been able to hit my irons very well for months (maybe all of 2023). They diagnosed my problem after a brief conversation and watching a handful of swings. I quickly learned a closed stance, swaying, and open shoulders were the problem. As you can see, they gave me things to work on and there was an instant improvement.

He has closed his stance to help with rotation

Didn’t really explain in the video exactly why he was hitting low to the left (shank for left handed golfer) - his clubface looked closed also all the way in backswing so possibly too closed at impact at times
@meandmygolf.11 ай бұрын
The less you rotate in the back swing with the hips, the more club club will swing over the top and increase the chances of presenting the hosel to the ball.

@@meandmygolf. thanks yeah - I’ve had issue with shanks also and there are so many diff issues that can cause it - definitely the worst feeling in golf lol
