I'd love a timing breakdown from you man, explaining when to be fully extended before pulling through, off arm timing, that sort of thing! I know what I'm supposed to do from others, but I'd love to hear your perspective. Trying to consistently break 400ft this season.

Another excellent breakdown! To answer your question about what else to see... Something I've noticed among anyone that throws over 450' is the heel rotation of the plant/brace foot. I can't seem to figure out for myself in what order I need to fire off what muscle groups to put my weight and momentum so squarely over that foot.
@bobmahannah90514 күн бұрын
It sounds like an easy fix, however, I am having a difficult time shortening my last step in my footwork, in hopes of correcting a dip in my swing. I'm hoping it will also alow me to slow my footwork down more and smooth it out

I saw Tristan Tanner do a video about it, but I'm curious about your take on how to generate more spin in a backhand.
@epb039414 күн бұрын
What do you think is a good spin rate? I’ve been chasing higher spin as well. I average around 1200 with my tech disc.
@epb039414 күн бұрын
A lot of pros are 1400+ it seems.

Just wondering. do you pull all the way through the throw or noodle arm the whole throw or noodle arm till the pocket and then pull. What's your thoughts?
@jakefoust7915 күн бұрын
How do you recommend "pulling" in the correct way, if you know what I mean and not collapsing the pocket? I feel like I need to extend my shoulder in order to keep the shoulder to chest angle integrity.

Does your stance change depending on the disc your throwing and distance. Understable to over stable. Roller to hyzer.

Noticed the other day at how fast your acceleration is in this video. kzbin.info2E9lwDeLceE - It looks like you start the swing with your off hand / back shoulder. Where do you typically start that push / twist?

I think some huge issues that are still out there with coaching are verbage and misconception. Like "Feeling" like using the elbow vs. "literally" using the elbow, or "feeling" like pulling through vs. "literally" pulling through. Hell, "pull through" itself is even seen as controversial. Videos like this are always appreciated but man I'm 3 years in and just .. don't .. get it. Stuck at 350 forever 😢
@pbgamble15 күн бұрын
Keep your head up, you'll get there 👍 focus on putters and throwing standstills. It'll be an epiphany and effortless. Think of how an ice skater accelerates when they rotate. Rotate around your spine, with an offset hip placement. Drew has older videos describing how to set your feet up.
@bravo_ks15 күн бұрын
@pbgamble I know it's just so deflating ya know? I've done it all, standstills, putters, rotation focus, you name it. I'll get there someday lol
@Slimeacation15 күн бұрын
@bravo_ks 100% this right here! I struggle with how my form looks vs. how it feels. I want to know what I should be FEELING to know if I'm using my body correctly.
@epb039414 күн бұрын
I’m chasing that feeling to. Some of my fastest throws with my tech disc felt like nothing. I’d think “that wasn’t very fast” and then the number it spits out is much faster than I thought. Trying to replicate that consistently is the hardest part for me.
@JMoneyBassHead14 күн бұрын
I was stuck at 350 for 4 years, I now am gaining more and more, averaging 415 right now. I have learned weight shift and nose down is helping me a lot, also pull like pulling a chainsaw. I'm 31 an better than ever. Good luck and disc on dude. Don't let that stop you
