I can’t stand this trend of a grind lifestyle and all of these influencers promoting the obsession of money. Happiness comes from things that cannot be taken from you. I’ve had many fast cars and I’ve been in an accident that reinforced my reasoning. Those things really don’t mean a darn thing. The building process for anything is the most enjoyable part of anything. We all think it’s the result. Humans are builders, we want to stretch and reach for things. We are always reaching for new heights. This doesn’t mean we need to build wealth. You can build other things and get the same or more satisfaction and fulfillment from it. I can’t stand hearing all of these KZbinrs shout, rant, and rave about building wealth. Ed does this sometimes but he definitely recognizes it’s not all about wealth. Ed you are by far my favorite introspective speaker in modern day. I appreciate you Ed!

Money isn't everything, I agree. It does, however, make life easier. It pays for doctors, for example, and gives you more choices in life. I think what's really important, most important (at least for me) is love.

You have a point right there. The one thing that drives me crazy about most business coaches is the waking up at 4 am...are you kidding me? My brain can't function if I have to get up that early, I'm tired by 11 am and I can't sleep. We all have different circadian rhythms. You can still be successful and work around your own schedule.

@@sylviacortes5908 I agree! The 4 am “before the competition” can be applicable but it’s definitely not for the majority and it doesn’t dictate success. They will have you thinking that 3-5 hours of sleep every night is the sacrifice needed to be successful. Everything suffers with little sleep. Blood pressure, hormones, mental acuity, metabolism, muscle repair, libido, and your overall enthusiasm for life is affected by sleep. Yes there are times where sleep needs to be sacrificed to create time but that’s a horrible practice.

I learned something super important in this video, do the harder things first and it makes sense why I procrastinate so much, and can’t get the progress I deserve. That is, do the harder things first, do what is mandatory for progress first. This way we are truly gaining control of our body, our mind. Because if we can dictate and enforce ourselves to do the not so fun, unwanted things first, it will not only give us a great sense of accomplishment, not only help us make better progress, but we will enjoy doing the fun things even more. Leading to more excitement, more confidence, more goals reached, more knowledge, just overall everything improves. It makes perfect sense
