The secret sauce is the --cw parameter. It is set to 100, which tries to keeps 100% of the input, so that is why the shirt stays the same. Lower values (even 0) will keep the facial features a lot of the time, but will adapt the clothes and lighting according to the prompt.

Definitely a good parameter to experiment with. I thought keeping the clothes was a useful feature to showcase for this video (because my old Consistent Character Technique didn't really support that), but I can think of a ton of use cases where you would prefer a lighter character weight

But of people that want to see their character dressed like a fireman of astronaut, this helps. I did try to put myself in it, you did a far better job of that than what I managed to do. I look like a mad dwarf ready to eat anybody's soul at the drop of a dime. Must experiment more with that...

I think you might be lucky with it to be honest. It can create your look really well. No matter how I tweak it, it NEVER consistently gets my look even with many photo references. I'm pretty experienced as a prompter too, it just always comes out with look-alikes, but not one would be able to fool anyone.

I've tried and tried and tried and am coming up Empty! I uploaded a photo of myself. I clicked the left icon to use this as a reference. I prompted by saying ...create a photorealistic photo. I have watched your video at least 4 times. You have made it sound so simple to get one's likeness into Midjourney, but as yet I have had no luck at all. This is my 3rd request for advice. I would appreciate a response. I am using Midjourney v.6.

In version 6, and more modern features, we have more methods to transfer likeness than just CREF. I would take a look at this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipO4kpSPjtR5nZI I talk about about how you can combine CREF the Uploaded Image Editor, and in-context assets to get a much higher quality likeness (at the end of the video I add myself to another portrait).

I have a photo of my dog laying down and kind of looking to the side. Im wanting to make a dog portait wall of all of my dogs and need to recreate a pic of her using her face from that image but I want it to be recreated from her chest up and looking straight at camera. Do you know of a good prompt I can use to do this? I want it to be the same exact image of her just recreated so that I can frame it as a headshot. Great video! I find Midjourney still has trouble with me, a female; it gets some parts right but the images still aren't "me". MJ has a tendency to make women unrealistically beautiful imo. It does my husband really well, though.

@@fxvladThere are few methods 1. Edit original foto at Edit tab and draw what you want with you face at exact pose 2. Create your clone foto and than put your face at photoshop I think mj makes token with face parameter and definitely wouldn’t create from foto It even don’t works with animals…

somehow that doesn´t work with my face - it always generates characters a bit similar to me, but never, really never, I got results like you did in the video. Also someone from J said, sref doesn´t work with own images? it´s really weird, but i never got any character looking like me, no matter how many images I tried :D

Thanks man. Glibatree is my absolute favorite. After generating four images, I turn around and put the best one in my GPT called the Canvas Critic. After a lengthy critique, it regenerates the image and I’d say 60% of the time, the image comes out even better, frosting on my cake! Thanks for updating yours consistently.

You can only select up to 20 image prompts at a time. That can be a mix of character references, style references, and regular image prompts, or all of any of those. In discord there is a separate character limit, I think 4000.. so it mainly depends on the length of your links.

I'd say it depends way more on the prompt matching the face itself. Inconsistencies between the prompt and the characters (or lack of description) makes Midjourney really suffer
