Yeah 6% inflation isn't even abnormal it's just kinda above average and largely due to the shutdowns and the way things were/are being handled with the pandemic however it's not a world altering occurrence that will ruin lives it's a minor inconvenience that needs adaptation that doesn't mean hiding all your money in the stock market to protect it that means following the plan saving money living on less than you make and staying out of debt.

i think most of muslims (I'm sunni) most pay 2.5% of ACCUMULATED WEALTH, not on additional wealth every year. I am actually surprised the 20% additional wealth zakat. I know that a farmer without irrigation is 10% zakat on yield if it exceed certain amount (this made some of my friends for the sake of simplicity giving zakat on 10% of income) The only 20% rate for zakat i know is a treasure find.

I am a muslim, so far as i know and understand, you need to focused more on paying off debt before giving money to charity. During Zakat Ramadan how much we are eligible and the calculation to give is lower if we still have debts, Dave is correct Islam is strict when it comes to debt, when a muslim died, his family need to find out how much all of his debts to anyone is and tried to pay it off or negotiate if the debt can be forgiven. Dave programs of living debt free, paying cash, be incredibly generous is actually very near to how a devout Muslim does in day to day life 🙏
@jaysmith60132 жыл бұрын
I’ve never heard of 20% in charity. Most mainstream Islamic laws obligate you to give 2.5% of your total wealth in charity every year. Also, Islam strong prohibits interest in every shape and form. I've never worried about mortgage debt as long as it was a reasonable amount and low loan rate. Keep a low monthly payment on a 30 year mortgage and refinance when needed to get the lowest rate. @Allybaba553 жыл бұрын
Right. I went to state school all 4yrs and then another state school for another 2yrs for my masters. I did have a Pell grant but honestly that doesn't help much! Anyway, after all 6yrs of taking out the Max Loans (pre Dave obviously) I graduated with 80k, not 100k. And that was maxing out loans to pay for things besides school and not paying a single cent in cash... So yeah. It should've been like 50-60k for me if I wasn't using my "refunds" for rent. And that's 6yrs of State University.
