You can have a perfect acting in a movie, however if the movie doesn't fit the criteria of what is considered high art by these people you don't stand a chance. That's is the definition of rigged. PS: also, it would be safe to bet that there's a lot a money going on behind the scenes of the voting process. Hollywood isn't exactly a place of people with high morals. Don't forget one of the most prominent figures there was Harvey Weinstein. Let that sink in.

I wouldn’t say he is underrated per say, but i would say he is over looked by awards. He hasn’t even been nominated for an Oscar. I believe James is a better actor than a few of the actors who have got one (this is my opinion so don’t attack me) but unfortunately doesn’t usually star in films that get noticed by awards. But that’s something i like about James, he picks work that he likes, not work he thinks will be more successful or make him more successful
