1.4 million subscribers. I remember the guy who earned those.....

Me too. You know he has got his own channel?
@skipper41143 жыл бұрын
He built his subscribers because of his history before youtube. To be honest the new hosts bring a different and well needed change. Less fake. But being so ignorant why not just go over to his new channel?

@@llexus7907 In the end, Wao ryu was the real owner of the channel, (although i though it was John Daubs one because he was the producer and main face of the channel) John and Wao ryu had different opion about the future of the channel and that drove them apart

This was a fantastic video, so inspiring. I love finding these somewhat under the radar, 'living history' places in Japan-- especially the kitsch Showa-era stuff (as well as the establishments with really traditional, almost ancient aesthetics). I will drop this place on my googlemap now. Thank you so very much for this informative, charming video.

That was a lovely report, well done. I hope these businesses survive. So much damage the pandemic has done. the loss of life is just the tip of the iceberg.

This is so cool! I've visited Showa era style onsen before, but wasn't a stylistic choice. It was just old.

I second that. When I first moved to Japan, all I cared about was going to Akihabara, Shopping in Shinjuku, etc... Fast forward a couple of years.... Just give me a frozen Asahi, ONSEN and a plate of something uncooked. ^^

for the fan service? bc she is a girl? its night and day when you compare the quality and content of what each hosts outputs. Dave covers what no one/few people would cover, and showcases them,while still retaining its secrecy. This girl is your average japanophile vlogger.

@june03 I see. Thanks for the explanation! I've gotta admit I like it better this way, since this is not a stylisticaly themed movie; also I think it would make it a bit too 'fake' and unpersonal.
