Awesome video. Very helpful clarifications. Two points I would add: *Force advantage only applies to surface/ground battles, but may be determined at the start of combat, as no surface or ground units will be removed during the air combat phase. *The best time to return lost Carriers fighters to their ships is during the air landing phase after all combats have resolved. This eliminates the potential error you described in this video. Thanks for posting, keep up the great work!

Thank you for the clarifications! So possible to move into a pin vs move via a clear route...if I heard that correctly. IMHO some map examples while discussing the rules might help visualize. We keep the carrier planes on the carriers and the carriers planes should not be moved back until all planes get moved post-combat. That will prevent double use of carrier planes. The planes on the carriers helps forgetting about the carrier planes and the carriers in the 1st place. Especially the Americans, since the commands and the carriers are both green.

What are the rules for movement in regards to contested territory. If in a contested territory can you move out, and if so is it only to friendly territory? How does pinning work in these circumstances? Thanks for the video, much appreciated. Keep up the great work.

Only the number of Enemy Land Units present via pinning affect the movement of your Land Units. So, yes you can move out into Enemy controlled Territory as long as you are not pinned. Travelling by rail is another matter as you may not enter a territory with Enemy Land Units present by rail (regardless of who controls it).

If Troop Transports are left at the end of a battle with an enemy Naval vessel are they all destroyed? What if there were friendly air that did not get destroyed and just had to fly away leaving the transports there with the enemy?
@NightingaleGamesLLC4 жыл бұрын
TT are only destroyed during the Combat Phase. Since the planes don't return to base until the next phase "Refit & Deploy" the TT are safe until the next round. Thematically the next wave of escort (either another batch of air units or a naval escort) could coordinate the relief (as one leaves the next shift arrives), but this game is abstracted and broken into distinct phases... so it doesn't exactly flow as normal time for some actions so it appears they are unescorted... but the passing of time sort of pauses and overlaps with previous times during phase 5,6,7.

What happens when a carrier's fighters are lost? Is the carrier without those fighters the next turn?
@NightingaleGamesLLC4 жыл бұрын
The carrier fighters are replenished every round even if lost in battle --as long as the carrier survives.

Replace lost carrier fighters to surviving carriers during the air landing phase after combat.

Does anyone know the answer to this? Lets say Germany and Russia are having a battle, and Germany was first in the turn order. All the units have been moved, set-up on the battle board and the amount of dice to be rolled has been established, and neither side has force advantage in a ground battle. From my understanding this is what happens: - Germany rolls all their dice first - whatever colours hit, Germany (being the attacker and first in turn order) gets to select the hits that Russia is going to take. So if a black is rolled and its wild, Germany picks which unit Russia will lose. - When Germany is all done and all the units have been hit, then Russia rolls all their dice. - Whatever colours Russia hits, Germany chooses which units are going to be hit. So for example, if Germany had both planes and tanks in the ground battle and Russia rolls some greens, then Germany would have the choice between planes or tanks to take the hits, even if Russia rolled blacks or whites, Germany gets to select the units to be hit, not the Russians. is this correct?

During the land (surface) battle only land (surface) units can be targeted. During the air battle only air units can be targeted. The active roller (not the first in turn order) always decides which units take the damage (except in the case for escort stance, in which the attacker decides which to damage and then the defending cruiser decides to engage its ability or not). So if Germany just rolled dice Germany assigns the hits, while if the Soviets just rolled dice Soviets assign the hits. The "attacker" is defined as the person rolling the dice, not the first in turn order nor the Nation which is considered the aggressor.
