I just received my second edition copy in the mail. I have been playing wargames since 1975 and I can tell you that I was absolutely blown away by the production value in this game. From the box it comes in down to all the components I cannot imagine anything that could have been done any better. If you are hesitating because of price just forget about it, this game is well worth the money. Absolutely 10 out of 10! Well done Nightengale games and Larry Harris.

Thanks guys, great video! I think there may have been another rule mis-interpretation. Troop transports only get to move 2 if both moves are in sea areas. You can only land if you are adjacent to the territory at the start of your turn. Doesn’t detract from your excellent video and I found about 3 or 4 things we’d been playing wrong in the game we’ve just played. Thank you very much for posting

It is a fun game, not short or pracitcal but beautiful and interserting when you fight to cause moral losses and getting rid of an enemy keep unit (the last tank/artillery/cruiser or infantry if they are to few...)

In addition to neglecting the Stalin rule, the Allies also moved their transports too quickly. You can't move troop transports 2 regions unless both the 1st and 2nd move are into sea regions. So, at 3:25:36, the move from 90 (in A-2) to into G10 (Norway) was illegal.

You have play with Stalin Rule (UK/US units cannot enter Soviet territory, unless, USSR is in yellow morale box - Infrastructure not working). Otherwise its too easy for Allies. Its easy anyway in Europe Scenario for allies to win, as they Soviets are not threated by Japan and UK is not losing India - which is huge morale blow and will open route to Iran/Middle east

Good to know. Is that rule in the rulebook somewhere? I should have been clear at the start of the video, I’ve not read the rulebook myself. Two of the other players had, and they had played before. I was new.

@@GamingRulesVideos yes, on page 24 towards bottom of the page. Also, when we play, units currently in production are on board upside down. Feels easier, than to use markers on top (at least for some of my clumsy friends:)

I just played this 2 weeks ago. 6 player game took us about 9 hours, all day on a Saturday and it was absolutely phenomenal! Sad to say the Axis won and rewrote history. Would love to play this annually!
