War Thunder's Little Known Single Player Mode

Following up on my previous series, I decided to venture again in to some singleplayer War Thunder content. This time, we're taking a look at user missions, aka missions that are created by players themselves. These missions can be for multiplayer events too, though we'll be taking a look purely at singleplayer ones in this video.
Unsurprisingly, the quality of the missions themselves vary a lot, there isn't really a barrier to entry besides learning to use the CDK. But in the same manner, they can give you a unique experience you won't find anywhere else in War Thunder!
I'll be showing you where to download these missions from, how to install them, as well as showcasing several different types of these user missions so you can get a good look at what they have to offer. Sure, there's no rewards for completing them, but they can be good fun! Especially when you're burned out from grinding events.

i didnt realize you were such a small CC until i scrolled down. great content, man! keep it up! also, if you're new to WT, the M551 used in the platforming mission is actually the event ones used for the silly soccer event held occasionally

You're right, I had indeed noted in the back of my mind that the vehicle used in the platforming mission was the Football Sheridan, but then I completely forgot to mention it anywhere in the video. Oops.

I don't see the "Mission by URL" option when I create custom battles. I've heard it's only available for those who have spent a certain amount of money on the game, is that true?

I was surprised to hear this, so I've done some research and yes that appears to be true. warthunder.com/en/news/4345-multiplayer-mission-feature-in-war-thunder-en/ "Any player who purchased any War Thunder item that costs at least 10 Dollars or Euros in the Gaijin.Net Store will have an opportunity to do this now." Plus since it seems like you need to do a single purchase that costs 10$ or more, the cheap starter packs won't work.

@@sd.kfz.181panzerkampfwagen8ik that just having it be for free would be the best but you might still be able to do so if you grind an event vehicle and then sell it on the market, after that buy something for 10 GJN, that being said they just made events much harder to grind for an upgrade coupon so yea not fun :/

I'm guessing you're talking about missions that require you to own certain vehicles? Those are locked and you can't play them unless you own the required vehicle. As far as I know it is possible to modify the mission file to change the required vehicle but I'm by no means a script guy, so I have no idea how to accomplish that. Hopefully I understood your question correctly.

I discussed this with another commenter, it seems that you need to purchase something worth 10 $ or more from the store before you can access it.

I don't have a console to test it myself, but you might be able to play the multiplayer ones since those don't require manual installation.

I'm no expert but I heard War Thunder single player content is a joke and practically non-existent... which is why I never had any interest in it. It's a shame, I think the developers are the same ones who made Wings of Prey and that thing had the best terrain of any combat flight sim I tried, and I've played them all... if they just got a clue and added a decent mission builder and the ability to mod, that thing woulda/coulda took over the market.
