Warbringers: Azshara (REACTION 🔥)

I'll try make it very simple. Night elves where a great empire, lead by that woman in the cinematic. She wanted power for herself and her people, but mostly herself and council. There was a huge well of energywater (lets call it that) which she was using for various things. This caught the attention of a titan (creator of worlds), however this one was corrupt and wants to destroy everything. She wants power and wants to marry him. They make a deal together. They try to take over the world and it fails. The deal she made was to have her Highborne rule over the world with the corrupt Titan by her side. Obviously things didn't go to plan which is where we are in the cinematic. Under the ocean there's an Old God sleeping, clues in the name, mad powerful. He wants to corrupt and drive everything mad rather than destroy it. He makes a deal with Azshara, her race of Highborne night elves become the Naga so they're able to survive under the ocean.

This is a very dramatic version of what a tsunami would look like. In the real world you'd have to go back to the impact that killed the dinosaurs to see one quite this large.

So yeah, those people at the end are known as Nagas, previously Night Elves, who's been corrupted, alongside their Queen. The god in this cinematic is known as an Old God in the Warcraft universe. This one is called N'Zoth. Its very confusing, but these Old Gods wants to corrupt the world/universe and they make people and creatures mad. Its all about madness with them. And Azshara is a very clever evil person lol

Well technically they were still High Elves, because the race of Night Elves that rejected the Arcane practices and we know and love didn't really form until after the events of the Sundering.

@@androski5247 Um, you got it backwards, it was the Night Elfves who formed into High Elfves (specifically, the Highborne caste of Night Elves; another group of Highborne caste are those we see in this video who got turned into naga), sometime around 4000 years after Sundering, after being banished by other Night Elves (fyi, for commiting a crime that was punishable by death if somebody wants to hate on NE for that), travelling to the other continent and forming a kingdom that was reminescent of their old Empire's customs (like having kings and queens for example) while rejecting their brethren's night life style and worship of the moon.

Azshara was a victim of her own arrogance. 10,000 years ago (night elves have insanely long lifespans) she was the most powerful mage, and a beloved queen of the largest most prosperous kingdom built up around the well of eternity (which was basically a giant lake of swirling magic). But she wanted more. Always more. She made a deal with a fallen titan named Sargaras who leads an army of demons. He had her convinced he would take her as his queen and they would rule the cosmos. She opened a portal at the well of eternity to let the demon armies into the world. There was a war (called the War of the Ancients). When the opposing forces were finally able to destroy the portal, it destroyed the well creating a massive maelstrom which is still there today. Her kingdom was taken by the waves. That's the moment this starts at. Which is why she said "this isn't the deal I made."

The naga were brought into WC lore by way of some concept art in the development of WoW. It was decided that they wouldn't be plausible as a playable race (largely due to the conflicts with their body and sets of armor). They were introduced in the WC3 story, and then carried over into WoW. To this day, they still aren't implemented as a playable race, but have had various degrees of involvement in the original WoW, and 5/7 expansions (they were surprisingly not in _Mists of Pandaria,_ and unsurprisingly not in _Warlords of Draenor.)_

The queen of the elves makes a deal with the old god N'zoth to preserve her crown, condemning her people to eternity as nagas, thus she becomes the naga queen, it took place centuries before the current era in azeroth, once again blizzard captures me heart and soul and I cannot resist its fatal charm, the whispers are the trademark of the old god, leads her to believe that she is queen but she does not realize that the deal comes with a heavy price, her soul and the souls of all her people, she is simply a puppet queen.

Azshara's empire was going to take over the world, until the "good guys" nuked her master stroke. The explosion created a tsunami that drowned her empire. The old god, N'Zoth, used that moment to strike a deal with Azshara, and her people now live in the depths, planning world domination.

The good guys that saved the world, you mean? And the "nuking" was the result of closing the portal that Sargeras was about to come through.

Another point to make is that the "deal" Azshara spoke of before was the deal with Sargeras, that she'd gain even more power if she let him step through. A cool thing to note is that whilst N'zoth is considered a god and is truly powerful, Sargeras is even far beyond what N'zoth is, so much that N'zoth is just a mere bug to him and the whole planet an egg he could crack open with one swing. Just interesting to see what kind of beings Azshara is making deals with, as whilst she's powerful, she's not even near them, yet they need her to destroy/corrupt the most important world.

She made a deal with Sargeras, the Dark Titan and Lord of the Burning Legion, to bring him into Azeroth and in return they would reforge the world in her image. She had an image of being his queen and together they would rule over Azeroth with an Iron Fist. This of course wasn't what Sargeras had in mind, as he only desired the destruction of Azeroth and used Azshara and through her, the Well of Eternity to bring himself there. This plan backfired, as the combined forces of the Night Elf armies and the Dragon Flights fought back the demons of the Burning Legion. The Well, after becoming corrupted by the fel energies necessary to bring Sargeras into Azeroth, imploded, shattering the continent of Kalimdor, and causing the Oceans to fill the gap, which is the beginning of the video.
