I think that Norrington it´s a very underrated character. In his best or his fallen, his behaviour was always like a real MAN. That final redemption, leaving Elizabeth and the rest the chance to escape, honors him. And of course he loved her in all moment, and "deserved" that final kiss.

Tia Dalma says that "it's in her nature" because she's based off Calypso, the same Calypso from the Odyssey. The goddess who kept Odysseus trapped for 7 years while he was trying to return to Ithaca and his family. For her part, it's not totally Calypso's fault, as I believe she's cursed to fall in love with any man who makes land on her island, so in a sense, it's in her nature.

They don't say it in the movie's, but the reason why Jack was branded a pirate was because lord beckett tasked him with delivering cargo and when jack went to see what the cargo was it was slaves and he freed them. That's why Jack says people aren't cargo mate to beckett

The crew of the Dutchman are indeed immortal, or relatively so- but the Dutchman itself is NOT invincible and attempting to seize the heart and kill Beckett would have just started the timer on a countdown the Dutchman could never outlast as an endless fleet of the most well-equipped ships with access to unlimited resources blast them into little pieces and move on. On Stranger Tides is good as a standalone adventure, and with it being set up at the end of At World's End doesn't mess with the original trilogy. Dead Men tell No tales was a total cash grab.

The first three are a trilogy. All three is directed by Gore Verbinski, tale of Will and Elizabeth, having Davy Jones and Beckett as the villains. “On Stranger Tides” was a good start to a new trilogy of a different adventure. But “Dead Man Tells No Tale” just ruined everything.
