I hope the FSU Administration voted “no” re the ACC/ESPN deal. Otherwise, I have no faith in the FSU President, AD, or Trustees.

It makes zero sense for FSU to vote yes, even if we intend to sign this rumored settlement. Voting yes would knee cap any potential future litigation vs the conference.

I was 3 or 4 minutes in and for the last couple of months the word “Quit” is haunting me, like what’s going on with fsu athletics like my gosh and if we stay in the acc we are toast

FSU is officially dead at this point. The crazy thing is, the athletic department is speeding up the process. Everything eventually comes to an end.

No they didn't. Umia, gt, cuse all suck and pitt is mediocre. Prior to that stretch, FSU had essentially lost to any and every mediocre or better team they had faced.

FSU football just got relegated, irrevocably, Ill still support every team of my alma mater but the college game is so dysfunctional right now that I honestly can't help but be apathetic about the sport in general. The NFL is a vastly superior product in every way, with parity...

See I am with Tom having the ACC logo on your jersey kills us in recruiting. It is a L if we are in the ACC past 2030 no matter the money

@ It used to matter, I can agree with that. However, FSU staying in the ACC until 2040 has already doomed the program permanently. I see as FSU as being dead already, thus to me it does not matter anymore.

Goodbye FSU. It was a good run back in the late 80's and 90's. FSU will have no athletic department in 5 years.

FSU literally never officially declared its intention to withdraw from the ACC. That is an indisputable fact. Anyone suggesting otherwise is misrepresenting the actual language in FSU's lawsuit and/or making assumptions about FSU's desiree/intention based on remarks made at a BoT meeting, which again, never officially declared FSU was leaving. FSU hasn't backed off from that rhetoric because it never made those comments in the first place. That said, do I think Alford is good enough for FSU (basketball situation, multiple football issues, the ACC lawsuit, etc)? No, I don't. I have serious reservations about him.

No, I'm not. I said nothing about whether it was good or bad for FSU. I merely stated an undeniable fact​ that FSU literally did not issue an official notice of withdraw to the ACC as required per ACC bylaws. That said, if FSU can routinely be within $10m of the SEC and Big Ten, and is guaranteed to have an available "out" years prior to the "ironclad" 2036 date and at a substantially reduced cost, then that is a good thing for FSU. This lawsuit isn't on track to end until perhaps 2026 or 2027. And even if FSU wins, we may have to remain in the ACC through 2030 anyways, since that's when the Big Ten renews their deal. @@kinesjl
