A lot of people treat Arthus burning strathholme as the turning point. I personally think it was when he burned his own ships then blamed the mercenaries he hired.

yeah, Stratholme being purged was the only reasonable option. if anything, them abandoning him over it was the real turning point.

It was, he lost a part of him by killing his own people, a weigh that he promised no one should never carry after after he experienced how his horse, invincible, was put down by his own hand after a accident that left his companion gravely injured. He passing for that traumatic experience made him more vengeful than ever before. Even if it was the most reasonable option, this one was extremely hard for him to carry on, so much that it sealed his fate for good.

Eh, Arthas was put into a difficult place, and I don't think the purging of Strateholme was the wrong choice. I do think he shouldn't have gone to Northrend but so far it's somewhat understandable. Where he absolutely went wrong was when he burned the ships and blamed the mercenaries who fought for him. Noone forced or manipulated him into doing so, he came up with it all on his own.

In this story, instead of Medivh, Arthas listened to Alexstraza. He got her Orb, instead of Frostmourne. He went to Kalimdor first, then the Orcs. He beat up Trolls instead of his former people in Human part. He became King while Uther became Undead death knight, with a former Paladin becoming the Undead leader as MC in Undead part. Broxigar was still stranded in Night Elven timeline, but not died in the battle against the Demons in Orc. The story of Night Elves were focused on Malfurion still. Then the Alliance was formed to crush the enemies.

I wonder why the creator went with Alexstraza to give a warning of the canon lore. It is the Bronze Flight that are the time keepers and keep it from being screwed with by other powers, notably the Infinite Flight unless they decided to not interfere with their scheme and got curious about how this will pan out. (Me too.)

They did say that if Arthas didn't tip off Illidan to the Skull of Gul'dan and just betray the Legion in general they'd have had Tichondrius plus far more demons and undead at Hyjal and probably won.

Ye makes sense that ultimately Arthas becoming pawn of Lich King/Ner'zhul and Ner'zhul then being able to make sure that Legion would fail were what ultimately saved Azeroth in the end, even if it doomed Arthas, Lordaeron and most of humans with it. Sometimes you just cant save them all, and I think that as guardians of Time, The Bronze Dragonflight and Nozdormu especially understands this. I mean why otherwise they would let history play its course and not intervene every time something would threaten Azeroth and make sure that the threats would be dealt with before they can even begin? As result of events of Warcraft III, Archimonde, Mannoroth and most of the most important Dreadlords were vanquished and the Legion severely weakened. So having Lordaeron and Quel'Thalas fall to Scourge was "small" price compared to that.

While this is cool, i doubt Arthas would've even listened to her at this point. Remember Medivh tried to warn him and he said "i dont care if he has seen the future". Maybe down the track when he starts realising the visions are coming true... but certainly not at this point.

Destroying your base tells you your mission failed, however, it doesn't actually really fail the mission, but it does SOMETHING. It stops Mal'Ganis' revival from initiating, when the timer hits 0, it stays that way, though even if you destroyed Lorthiras' base and the orange base somehow, his task force still spawns.

Better plan, they should have killed Dar'Khan Drathir so the great defense barrier of Quel'Thalas would never have fallen. With the Ban'dinoriel up and running everyone from the Old Alliance could have held up in the Elven homeland and weathered the storm. With the Sunwell untainted, Kel'Thuzad could never have been risen as a lich, which means Archimond would never have been summoned by him.

my best campaign so far. the second mission is a pain in the ass. very difficult for me at least

Giorgos Georgiadis Actually, it's pretty easy. Just build towers and units before you finish the first quest then after you got those towers upgraded and the units built (Knight,Rifleman and priest are a solid combination) then build the last thing. (I always leave the Sanctum for last since priests are pretty fast to build). Use Arthas or Uther's ult to ressurect fallen units to continue the fight and save you the cash. Also, build some more towers down near your ally's barracks and when it becomes too much retreat there. (Upgrade to 3 everywhere to make it a great chokepoint). Hold for how many seconds left then voila! You've finished the mission.
