what i dont understand is when I try to do this mission on hard currently, it seems that the naga are endless, sent on 45 second timers to attack the ancients, and if you try to cast starfall royal guards throw frost bolt, mission might have broken triggers at this point.

use pot of magic immunity before u cast starfall, u can buy it from the ancient of wonders. Though the flying coutles will dispell if they are close. What i did is try to lure the naga into a chokepoint with force of nature and 2 mountain giants so they cant pass, pop potion and then starfall

You should play the level where you have to guard Illidan's age while night elves and naga fight and try to destroy Maiev's base on hard

I did it before. A couple tricks: (1) don't rescue the cage until you absolutely have to, as you spawn more allies relative to them; (2) leave a mercenary behind to buy you more mercenaries; (3) have the Panda hero.

i destroyed the whole base on hard you can destroy the altar of elders after you destroyed all the other buildings

I would like to add that the closer the cage is to Maiev's base, the easier it would be to lock the night elves there and amass mercenaries to send there. I did it even without panda.

You use not only Furion's starting units, but also Night Elf fleets units!

No base units mean: -Only starting and fleets units are available (Must use limited troops to destroy all bases) +Starting= Archer x3 + Huntress x2 + Dryad + Druid of the Claw x2 +1st fleets= Huntress x2 + Archer +2nd fleets= Dryad + Mountain Giant x2 +3rd fleets= Huntress + Druid of the Claw x2 -No Maiev (Does not a big problem in order to destroy bases)
