Warcraft 3 Reforged supposedly will alter the original Warcraft 3 campaigns, so let's blast through Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne on Hard difficulty before Reforged is released! These videos will contain all cinematics and dialogue along with explanations of the strategies I'm using as a semi-walkthrough.
I am nowhere near as experienced with these maps as the StarCraft 2 campaigns, so it won't be quite as polished of a playthrough, but we will succeed through Hard difficulty nonetheless!

This is the mission where it became clear that you can have two AIs as the same color. Illidan and Lady Serpentra were quite clearly two different AIs.

He should've just said that he's planning to kill Scourge, but devs had to stretch this campaign for few more chapters, so they can show off new units, tilesets and abilities.

Imagine March of the Scourge but instead of holding out for 30 mins you have to control the rescue party of Jaina, Uther, and the Knights. Then imagine Arthas's base is totally devoid of resources while it's continuously hounded by Undead. Finally, imagine when you get to the rescue you now have to go destroy the enemy bases. There you have Balancing the Scales. Honestly, even tho you had a really easy time (the first attack took unusually long because the forces went all the way around fsr, then two attacks coincided) every time I play it I find that the first part is the hardest. To the point where I'd advise to get Maiev to blink past the Naga base to get the four gold coins to the left asap. Then you can pump up Archers and get like four more Moon Wells. I do agree that it's better to not do the pincer attack om the Nagas because you'll end up losing most of your units that way. The second part can be annoying due to Illidan but as long as you have the Mountain Giants it's really not hard to defend, being more reminiscent to Frostmourne after getting the sword . You can even let most other units die to stay in No Upkeep so that you finish the upgrades faster and then get quickly to 100/100 (good practice for mission 7). All things considered it's prolly my favorite pure Night Elf mission (The Brothers Stormrage is better mostly because you barely use Night Elves in the first place lol). You have the full tech tree minus Faerie Dragons AND you have to destroy the enemy base, what more can I ask? Just wish it didn't have the lightning bug.

It's worth noting that you can use Tyrande's Scout (or other flying units) to look for secrets behind trees. Probably less tedious than the other methods of checking. I realize this advice probably comes too late, but it's something to keep in mind for the future.

Still falling for the huntress trap... die just as easy as the archers, take up twice the space, henceforth deal half the damage, don't hit air... Just go with ancient protectors and archers for base defence; archers and ballistas for siege... heroes must tank all the time, not just sometimes... Still a good video... took me back...

great series, I'm loving it! a quick tip - on the last mission of the night elf campaign, there is a special spot behind the orange undead base that malfurion can exchange items with illidan and he will carry them with him for the last missions of the human campaign, making illidan a BEAST

I'm playing through TFT Hard mode along with your walkthrough, and I experienced the same bug with not being able to build any buildings on this mission in particular. No idea what causes it but I assume its a recent thing since I don't remember that happening back before Blizzard started updating the game again. That bug combined with the fact that I also experienced crash to desktops while on this mission and the fact that this mission annoys the fuck out of me made me just use whosyourdaddy to get it over with and move on to the next one xD. This mission is actually considered to be one of the hardest campaign missions in the game, not just TFT but RoC too, although there are several missions that outshine it in difficulty according to what I've read, most of said missions being TFT Undead missions... not looking forward to that lol.

21:55 another dumb bug created by Blizzard on a game that is over 15 years old. Jesus Christ. I am sorry you had to deal with that :(. Outside of that, you did nice, this mission is the first hard one in The Frozen Throne on Hard mode because, like you said, the enemy base is a nightmare to push into, also the enemy AI Naga can train Naga Royal Guards like you saw ( this is not the only mission where that happens ), but when the players uses the Naga they can't, also the player can only use Coautl in one mission with the Naga( Alliance mission 5 ).

I guess this bug has been around for much longer than any recent patches, it has to do with the lightning. This is the only one that actively affected my gameplay in any noticeable way so I'm hopeful it will not exist in the next version.

What I do in this mission is to get Maiev to go get reinforcement from the NE of the base first, then Malfurion and Tyrande can get the Mountain Giants.

This mission is impossible playing reforged. For example, at 10:55 the sea witch also has 6-8 frost armored underlings in that attack.

It's just there for the ending cutscene where Illidan and his naga swim into the sea.

Is there a bug with mechanical units? Because the glaive throwers were hit by frost bolts and healed by tranquility. Or is it intended?

I'm assuming it's intentional. Undead has something like that as well where the Death Knight's Unholy Aura can heal Meat Wagons.

Attack spells like frost bolt can hit any unit that isn't magic immune but I'm not sure about the tranquility one since ur the undead can unholy aura heal all their units.

i believe it's because a Melee balance patch, mechanical Units used to be immune to most spells but not anymore I do remember Unholy Aura regen working on mechanical units before thought

Frozen Throne nerfed the starfall severely. Less dps and smaller area. It used to be OP in Reign of Chaos, where it takes up the whole screen.
