WARDEN OF DEMONREACH IS CRAZY STRONG! | Project Ascension S8 | Classless WoW | PvProgression

Mcdoubles back again with a brand new video and today we farm our hearts out for the ALREADY notorious WARDEN OF DEMONREACH legendary world enchant that aims to combine Frost and Fire magic into an absolutely devastating burst spec!
I had gotten word on the grapevine that this spec was overperforming right now and since it was already on my radar to try, I decided to drop everything, create a new Int-based character, and go hard on my journey for a proper Warden of Demonreach build. This enchant transforms the Pyroblast spell into TWO new spells, Arctis and Fuego, which absolutely PUMP in both ST and AoE scenarios.
I take this build from 1-60 through PvP and PvE before finally hitting max and creating an absolutely broken version of the spec. Ascension then hotfixes my spec so that its unplayable, and I create a more typical version of the spec that you may have seen around in the world by a few select players who have gotten their hands on this enchant, and it still absolutely claps cheeks.
The enchant for this spec was inspired by the Dresden Files series. Which I know nothing about, but its a neat fact nontheless.

the fact that they made an enchant based on my favorite ficticious wizard is kind of wild. and it fits so well. nice work ascension. Harry dresden is the wardon of the isle of Demonreach. He throws fire and ice magic. Hs the winter knight who has the winter mantle which gives him superhuman power. And fuego is what he yells when tossing around fireballs. im glad its actually good :)

I haven't gotten this RE yet but I've been doing some theory crafting on it. Not sure if the fuego/arctis properly count as pyroblast for the purposes of pyrolate RE but if it does you could get an interesting rotation with arctis into immolate, conflagrate, immolate, incinerate with backdraft to boost your speed in stacking the fire buff. For the ice phase Elemental Blast might also work since it counts as an ice, fire, and nature spell and provides a buff to haste or crit when cast. I also think ignite/burnout from fire mage tree are a big deal for the build. The big Fuego crits will stack up big ignite dots and the capstone of burnout means the ice damage spells will be triggering more aoe damage.

Make sure your going “shatter” in frost mage tree think it’s 100% inc. crit damage for frost damage. Another one in fire I think. Cast your lower level frost bolts for -1second frost bolts into fast stacked BIG arctis. Since you’ve got predominantly FIRE abilities I would go more into fire modifiers. Fuego, fireball, lava burst (prio) prioritized. Also will help you with kiting in pvp and should lead to easier faster ramp up with a arctis burst. And HEAVY steady Fire damage going into fuego. Hope this helps. And if you plan to pvp on this build talents go into fireball/scorch/fire damage in mage tree. (Setup slow/cc) max range: rnk. 1 frost bolt x2, arctis, lava shock, lava burst, fireball. You get it. Pvp epic REs scorched earth and fire fireball are awesome. Definitely swap scorched earth for pve

For single target DPS, Arcane Thunder Seer is very strong too, and u need just need Arcane Missiles and Lightning Bolt. Got lvl 60, with 43ilvl and was doing 2.5k on dummy. IGN: Brazucax

Dat ectoplasm cast time tho, I run a hybrid of demonreach and a mfb block tank, it's pretty silly, I get lots of strange looks at the start of a raid. Also hailstorm and hoarfrost gives procs randomly for arctis.

I'm not sure about ascension. but in retail you could switch off xp gain. perhaps it was something they added later but if its in ascension it could help with those qwirky farming routes

If you used Intelligence holy paladin plate gear with shield and resil gear you'd be strong or perhaps second wind with stagger staves or something and other defensives would be good.

I think they changed it back btw it seems you no longer need a cast time to get stacks for the arctis and Fuego you just can't use stuff like blizzard or living bomb, they need to deal damage straight upon cast

I noticed during your AoE demonstration you were “afk for one second” you could Frost/Fire Shock or Fire blast during that if you wanted to actually optimize that global. This spec looks like a ton of fun!

Take a look at Disciple of Arugal. You can get it by defeating the final boss in Shadowfang Keep and then going back to the wolf boss (Fenrir?) where a book will be on one of the two tables. Eura

Probably not the only one who'll mention this, but the Dresden Files TV show, despite its cast, is pretty bad. The book series is absolutely brilliant, and one example where the audiobooks (read by James Marsters) are even better. The books are definitely worth picking up! I have heard rumours of a new TV show in the future, where the author gets more say in matters. (The RE is inspired by the series, by the way, only in the names of spells and effects; not so much the actual effects). Thanks for the good work!
