I used to be a bait fisherman at the local trout parks until I bought my first flyrod and learned how to make my own flies. With a little help from my friend Joe I was able to give up bait fishing for trout completely. I can go to any trout stream in America and catch many trout when nobody else is catching anything. I've been approched by many seasoned trout fisherman asking "What are you doing to catch so many trout" and I show them It's just a simple wooly bugger that I tie myself and I use sinking line to get the bugger down, I'm showing the trout something that they have never seen before, and I fish it on a 9.5 foot flyrod to get it way out there. Fish aren't that smart, you just have to give them what they want.

Walking in 5 miles to check fishing and holding your ticket book locks up your hands. Get a belt carrier that can hook over your non dominant side or at the small of your back. Just saying ... You need your hands FREE, except perhaps for a walking stick? What do you think?

If people are determined to ride the rapids in high water I don't think Montana Wardens should be there to protect them from their own idiocracy. It takes state money to operate a jet boat and lifeguard staff. People who feel the need to use live bait in a blue ribbon area aren't fisherman, they don't know how to fish so they poach.

In Georgia you can fish up till the age of 15 without a license or Wildlife Management license,, That’s ridiculous any state would require license at 15 and under that whatever the age is.. rip off

That is a crazy law about carrying a fishing pole. You could be written up leaving a hunting and fishing store next to a river, lake or pond. Some law officers like to bust balls. 🥹
