I’ve just found your channel after looking for pants resizing information and noticed it said ‘Nancy’s Notions’. I have followed Nancy Zieman’s pattern alterations and have her “ Fitting Finese‘ book and love the pivot & slide method. Are you affiliated with the Nancy’s Notions that we all love and why do you not teach her method under her company name? I have subscribed and am looking forward to seeing the technic of pattern alterations she did and without slicing my patterns up. Happy Sewing

I enjoyed watching this series and I love the pattern you chose. It was a little cringy watching you sew over pins though. Thanks for sewing this for us.

I know LOL! We all have sewing mannerisms. I had to keep it real and keep that in the video. See you in the next video!

Great video! May I suggest adding the links to the video’s Joi mention during this videos that demonstrate specific technic (eg. zipper). I have not been able to find that video and the other one she mentionned.
@designerjoi71243 жыл бұрын
Hi Danie! The videos are being loaded all the time. Make sure to subscribe so you will be notified as the new ones are available. The zipper one is available now. We tried to space them out to allow time for viewing.

Ty for this. Can you raise the Camera for the next videos? It's hard to see your stitching with the camera that low. Sorry. I really love your videos, and want to learn so much more from you!

Hi! What zipper exactly did you use in the blue hoodie? Thanks!
@kimberlyd90493 жыл бұрын
I wonder why you didn’t add the zipper before you added the back to the garment. Seems like it’s have been easier to only deal with one portion of the piece with the zipper before adding the back and then needing to work around the back and sides.

Hi Joi! are you using the scuba knit fabric that is on Nancy's Notions website?

I was unable to find the How to Insert a 3/4 Zipper video you referred to. Would you please provide a link? Thanks.....great video.

You should be able to type in Wardrobe Builder in the KZbin search or go to the Nancy's Notions KZbin Channel and they are there. Thanks for asking

Do you use stretch thread in bobbin also?
@NancysNotions3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you would use the same thread in the bobbin as well. Thanks for asking!
@karenrehfeldt88843 жыл бұрын
In the tutorial she mentioned Seraflex thread. Does Nancy's Notion sell this thread? I was not able to find in on the website.
@designerjoi71243 жыл бұрын
Yes it is on the website.

Where is the zipper video? A you tube search using the title shown in the video reveals nothing. Also not on Nancy’s notions KZbin channel. Thanks
@designerjoi71243 жыл бұрын
Hi Cathy! We are spacing the videos out but the zipper is available so we hope you will check that out!
@WeQuiltStudio3 жыл бұрын
What is your stitch length with that Seraflex thread?
@designerjoi71243 жыл бұрын
Any length- based on the use. Make sure to watch the how to sew with knit tutorial and see the stitch sample example. That will help!

Great video, but I wish you had spent as much time actually showing how you finished putting in the hood lining as you did the hems. I didn't understand how you said to turn under the facing edge and stitch it to the seam allowance. How do you do that without stitching through the entire hood? And I didn't understand what you did with the extra flaps that hung down by the zipper.
