I like your new garden setup. It's lovely to see your cats enjoying your garden. I love John Lewis and they do the best Christmas! I'm one of those people who takes the pegs off my washing line as I have OCD and I do all the washing and cleaning, looking after my fur baby 🐶 some gardening and my husband is the cook. I love your Dailey vlogs. Have a great week ahead 😊

I really like the back yard now. Great ideas! The attic will be so good for all your storage space needs. The step with insulation surrounding it will become a problem once you keep getting insulation on you though.

Oh John Lewis looked so fun! And so glad you have the fence to keep Beau safe! That robe looked so cozy! Love the bedding! Looked great! Your attic ( loft) looks great! I've never seen that type of flooring, here we just lay a board down and squish the insulation... yours is much better! Great Vlog! Hugs!

Appreciate the variety of the vlogs! It's a Real slice of life! My grandmother had your atitude about clothes pegs!! Leaving them out was Not the thing!!! Also they would become weathered and YUK! Am still using some of my mother's wooden ones 40 years on. Hopefully the fence will contain the adventures of Beau. Knickers are a hilarious subject!! Have heard a few rather ri.s.q.u.e tales of this clothing item! Unfortunately Not able to repeat these in comments!!! Looking forward to your next vlog. Take care!

I do all the laundry in the house. None of my neighbors have an outside clothesline. In a lot of areas of the US they are outlawed. Something about aesthetics. In my area it’s due to the weather.

Candles are a good idea if your kitties are sensible, over the past few weeks our power was cut due to a line fault. We had power from a mobile generator for about 10 days, which was great except it broke down - twice! Just remember where the matches are too. Power company were very helpful and everything back to normal now 👍

I almost hate to tell you this Elliot.....I live in S.California & haven't even SEEN a clothesline (anywhere) since the late 60's. That may change as utility bills continue to skyrocket however. 😳 Where I live we're not even ALLOWED to dry laundry outside.
@danielleporter18292 жыл бұрын
@gina wiggles I'm a fellow Southern Californian and remember having a clothesline in the backyard of the house we lived in when I was growing up in the 1990s , we had a washer and dryer but my mom would sometimes hang the sheets on the clothesline. I volunteered at the California Science Center doing take home arts and crafts projects with the kids. As I was telling the kids that they can color their pictures any way they wanted to, there were some clothespins on the table that the kids could clip onto what they colored. I told them when they finished coloring, they could take a clothespin and clip it to their picture ( the pictures were stamped images of different insects you'd find in the terraiums in the World of Life Discovery room). A little girl looked at me and asked what was a clothespin. Her mom and I shared a look and I simply said that kids today are used to dryers abd and have never seen a clothesline or clothespins. Her mom said she remembered her grandmother hanging laundry out when she was growing up.

@@danielleporter1829: Hi Danielle. I grew up in the 50's. We lived in the projects on the East side of LA and there were community clotheslines everyone shared. In the 60's we moved to a house and my dad installed a retractable clothesline. My mom continued to use it until we got a dryer. There may still be some areas where people use them but with everyone working who has time? It's just more convenient (and faster) to use the dryer. While our climate in So Cal is perfect for outdoor drying our homes are built so close together I don't think people WANT neighbors to see their personal items flapping in the breeze & visible to the world. 😳🤣
@danielleporter18292 жыл бұрын
@@ginawiggles918 Times have certainly changed where clotheslines are concerned. We lived growing up ten blocks from the Collesium and the house we lived in ob 49th and Figueroa was torn down a few years ago. My mom and I moved from there after my dad passed and I live not far from Culver City, the Marina and LAX. My mom went to Ascot Ave school before she , my grandmother and uncle moved to Fresno in the early 50s. I went to the Central Av Jazz Festival a few times with my mom on the early 2000s, my dad was born on 21st and Hooper and grew up in Compton so I'm very familiar with the East side 😂😆

Fantastic vlog m'dear's, loved it! 😍 Can totally relate to your washing episode & how you feel about people who leave pegs on their lines & leave the line up 🙄 I'm not perfect but I alway's put the pegs in the basket & take down the line & put a cover on it when not in use. I alway's hang the socks in correct pairs facing the same way & if coloured pegs are being used i pair them up with the same colours........am I sad? Unfortunately my husband's pants can be a bit scanky 🤢 but after donning rubber gloves, face mask & goggles I'm ready to tackle the most severe of skid marks with a stain removal spray & tend to wash his pants & socks separately to my clothes......I don't like the thought of my laundry being contaminated!!!! 🤫😂 Take care my lovelies & keep the vlogs coming xx

Please tell me ahead of time: Are your weekly vlogs going to turn into a series of commercials from now on? I do love your videos, but I must confess I am not familiar with the direction that youtubers usually go when it comes to making money, and it would be helpful to me to know ahead of time if it is going to be about you and Matt and the kitties or about something else. Not trying be a b****, I just prefer the simpler content that you usually post. Just my two pence.....;) Wow, look at me..............all caught up, finally!!! Well done for catching up! If we are blessed enough to have a brand wishing to sponsor a video then we are happy to do so. However rest assured we would never endorse anything we haven’t tried first (without saying so) or anything that isn’t a good fit for our viewers. We have used HelloFresh off our own back since before we moved house and love the service and product. Happy to work with them and share with others. I also love Rolex watches so come on @rolex !!! 😂😂😂
