Had this happen coming up after a shutdown this year. We have an RO and the condutivity was low and the water level could not be read

I worked in a plant that provided steam for an optical manufacturer. We replaced the surge tank and decided to go with probes. Big mistake. We found out that the process condensate was being returned to the boiler and not back to the DI water plant. Hard to conduct electricity in DI water 😅

So do these probes just lock the boiler out if they cannot get a reading due to conductivity being so low?
