That is such a beautiful cat. Mine is sitting next to me as I watch this. Love the channel!

I’ve been doing something similar with my old mk II. I use green stuff instead of a spacer at the waist but I also use a small amount of green stuff in the neck joint. You can also add a small spacer on the feet to spread out the spacers and make it more natural.

I think the fan conversions where they also put flat discs of plasticard or milliput in the legs to make them proportionately longer, while more complex, does look better than just elongating the waists. But this is a nice simple solution for people not wanting to do quite as much conversion work.

Got really excited about these, but they fall quite short, no pun intended. If the spacers were caps a similar diameter as the ball joint they'd be solid. Given they can't get the concave end moulded flush with the joint, might as well use sprue bits and save coin.

I was hoping for the same

I think if you attach all the ammo pouches, pistols, and grenades to the waist, it should hide the spacer pretty good for all of them. You should give that go if you haven't finished them already.

Nice job, Paul. Thanks for posting this. If I were to get these I'd probably get the 1mm one and make up the rest with some plastic plate on the bottom of the foot. I really don't like any of the others.

Hm, they definitely make the Marines taller, but the spacers don't really fix the proportions. Legs with longer thighs are what they really need, and a bit more length around the abdominal area. I guess it's not too noticeable if you just want to mix them in big blobs with the Mk VIs and the new Mk IIIs though. Stick some guns on, and some pouches to hide the worst of the gaps, and it's a cheap and easy way to cheat a few millimetres in.

I’d rather mess around with the bases rather than use these personally
