2:59:29 rending against vehicles does not make the attack AP2, it only adds the D3 strength bonus (AoD Rulebook, pg246) it didn't make a difference, but it's good to know for the future

Great fun as always. And watching you counting dice is part of the immersive experience I come to expect. To be crystal clear: I like it. Wether you are counting dice to attack or to defend the excitement or dread is palpable.

Hey guys, great vid as always. Don't forget if you're rolling armour saves for a Heavy Sub-type unit against template weapons that you get to reroll failed armour saves!

Is it just me or is Paul's voice behind the camera like listening to Greg Davies (the comedian) playing Heresy? 🤣🤣

You are absolutly correct. Only then he seems to be holding the camera at waist height.

Lovely game with two great looking and well balanced armies. rule-wise, I noticed that the ultramarines were adding +1 attack to power fist wielding models, for having a power fist and pistol... but power fists are a specialist weapon, so would not add the +1 attack unless they also had a 2nd specialist weapon. not a big deal, but would have changed 1 or 2 of the combats where a single power fist attack was decisive in wiping the enemy squad. that said, not a big deal at all. overall you all managed the rules well, which can be harder while filming, and both players were good sports with each other and not overly competitive, which is always nice to see :-)
@jamesmarch78249 ай бұрын
I'd not spotted that power fists are specialist. Thanks .

Another great video, Paul. This was a lot of fun. I will admit it, I was wrong about the way you structure your army introduction. I've never commented about it before, but I have thought before that you and your guests go through too many details about your army rules. While I found that was a little unnecessary for some of your 40k videos in the past, I really understand the benefit of it, only being somewhat familiar with the Horus Heresy ruleset. Having you and James walk us through the entirety of your army rules does help make sure that newer players understand the totality of what is happening. I get it now, and I'm not too proud to admit it! Thank you for your work, and praise the Urizen!

Did the WB player remember to bleed on his models as he was painting them? Because that’s a critical step in order for the Dice Gods to be satisfied. That’s the only rational explanation for all that bad luck throughout the second turn onwards.

@@jamesmarch7824 … oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Maybe try someone elses blood, perhaps Paul’s, I’ve heard that the self-righteousness of Roboute’s sons can make a great reagents for luck. At least enough to cancel out whatever’s currently infusing them. (Also, I love your WB’s, they’re truly glorious to behold!)

OMFG Word Bearer dice today, slightly below average, but the really clutch Ultramarine saves!! I really felt for my WB ally. Just nothing went right. Those UM abilities to gain +1 to hit if nearby ally already shot at them, and then combined w ur fancy doctrines... my god they're filthy! I've never seen any other UM player online use them before. Oh 1 thing: u just move around terrain/tanks when u fall back, not pop out the other side of em.

Don't forget about your impact hits with your praetorian breachers. I was so glad you based every single one of praetorians and I thought you did it with intention to use the impact hits. I'm so sad I was wrong :(
