To be fair, I don't think the real community would have any problems with you receiving and accepting gifts, though I understand the choice to not want to miss on earning the content. Those who would complain are just the petty, jealous ones. From the beginning of Warframe being streamed regularly, the community has always shown their love and appreciation of those who do it justice. Sure, fame is a part of that because you are publishing warframe videos and you have 190k subscribers. But anyone who thinks it's only because of fame doesn't truly know this community. I'm glad you're sticking with us Skill Up.

Lockdown Q23 oh yeah, that feeling is amazing and I know why my friend I told to try Warframe got bored so fast. One of them where trading all the time so he had like 3-4 Prime Warframes unranked at MR2 or 3. But the grind is what makes it feel right if you equip you Frame the first time. I was so proud when I got Frost Prime at Rank 9 or so because I farmed him, just bevor he got vaulted the first time. Equinox was just as rewarding.

Sharing how you enjoy yourself and the community is just about what it needs right now, there are a lot of very good guide-channels (too many, I think), but very few channels that show the progression a normal user would have. Selling the presents seems to be a good way of ensuring that you actually take the way of Warframe, and that is great. I loved your content so far, and I'd love to see more of it!

How about you guys gift some color packs to new players? It's not really spoiling them, and it can never hurt to put a little color in people's lives. Color packs are just one of those things that new players can't usually afford, and cosmetics usually take a back seat to necessary utility, like slots and potatoes.

I love multiplayer but have rarely found a game where I enjoyed the community, too. I think the last time I genuinely found myself enjoying almost every online interaction was Bad Company 2. Mr. Vegetable Common misconception. There is no grind in Warframe. A grind is when fun stuff is gated behind a wall that must be overcome whether it's gear or xp. Every thing in this game can be beaten with the starting character Excalibur. The main game is the game itself. To play it. You get rewards for playing. That is different then say an MMO where the level up process is boring and the fun part is end game dungeons. Thus you need to grind xp to play it. You don't have that in warframe.

I agree that donating items would not be as useful due to the chance of the new player to be always begging for stuff and fall into laziness, agreeable, but that shouldn't mean that KZbinrs should be pampered with donations, then again, fame is fame. thing is, gifting it to "noobs" is actually bad, you end up corrupting their view of value, hell, its not only gifting, i helped a couple of guys a few times, the next month, i received invite over invite from them to help do "this impossible quest" or "help me farm X". it came to a point one of them asked me to help him farm ALL THE PLASTID HE WOULD EVER NEED. and no im not kidding. and i only game a few begginer friendly mods(the weapon dmg ones). and helped them farm some stuff to farm Rhino. i almost gave up on helping "noobs".

first off, don't engage the Stalker in a melee fight. Especially as a mag. Just don't. It's not even advised to fight him with melee as Chroma, Inaros, or WuKong. Secondly, I respect the hell out of you man for saying "stop sending me free stuff" because this game can be a grind and it seems like the community is helping you bypass that. But yeah, us normal players had to earn that Mastery Rank 23 and 24 by getting gear the old fashion way. I mean, yeah, when I was starting out. I was given parts to weapons at most. Sometimes a really good mod. Hell, my clan leader gave me a Slash Mod Set. But everything else was earned through the grind.

Ivara is the greatest gift of all. You definitely skipped a colossal amount of time and steps by receiving these gifts. As someone who spent a considerable amount of $ to skip farming, I know exactly what it feels like. The farming, while it can be very tedious, is a pretty large part of this game. So you might reach the 'end-game' (if you even think WF has an endgame) a lot faster but then you're left feeling a sense of longing. Longing for more meaningful content or a more meaningful agenda to accomplish something in the game.

I see this vid and use it to suggest to my friends how important it is to fully understand warframe without the big time-saving points through plats. The journey is as important as the destination kinda cliche, but important! Suggestion, keep some warframe and equips you got from gifts at low levels for the "beginner-guide" video, because some of those videos sometimes use really decked-out warframes and difficult to follow for real beginners that just jumped in the game. meh, what am i saying, I`m sure you thought of this before :D In any case, another awesome video! sorry I haven`t watched your second dream and war within vids, haven`t got that far yet! Not long ago I lectured a guy about Riven mods and how they work. The guy was so thankful that gifted me an orokin reactor, and I was like "ohmygosh, that's so unnecesary but thank you lots". The cosmetic items are fine (and also indestructible in most cases) but any weapons and especially Warframes can be trashed by going into the equipment menu, then into inventory. You can sell any and all of them for credits from that menu. If anything, having the extra credits will speed up the less fun part of the grind for a new player such as yourself. You're always strapped for credits in the early game. The Hunhow's gift was very nice of someone though, since that isn't attainable anymore. But please get rid of the Ivara. Minus the grind, you'll be missing a HUGE learning experience by not getting her the hard way, something you NEED TO DO if you want to not be an annoying shit in sorties. Practice your spy missions friend. Master the Lua.

The exact same thing happened with Summit. iFlynn made a point on one of his streams that Summit likely got bored and left because his community and Warframe's gifted him so much that it cut out most if not all content left for him. Seeing Skill open an Ivara hurt an unbelievable amount since that's hours of content knocked off his playtime. Mesa being gifted means he can completely ignore a quest and even more farming. And the constant syandanas, armour and skins means there's no need to use his own plat or work for plat through the market. Ranting won't make a difference though since his community will likely keep sending him stuff, and regardless of him opening messages or not, the gear is still added to your inventory. Just gotta hope he eventually learns how to mod and farm without the community spoonfeeding and handholding.

I agree that getting literally everything handed to you instantly with no effort makes the game quite boring, but Ivara and a few other things (*cough*Equinox*cough*) are a real pain in the ass to get. I didn't have any fun doing twenty of the same spy mission in Uranus for Ivara, or literally SEVENTY runs of Tyl Regor to get all Equinox parts. Also, not everyone can/wants to play the market game, so getting skins for free doesn't take from the general experience. tl;dr, people should stop sending things to him, but a few that are a pain to get by playing are okay to have for free.

I respect your opinion a lot. I hate it when my friends give me items or when my friends get free stuff because it reduces enjoyable time in video games. Getting the warframes is amazingly satifying and after all these hours of farming, using a new playstyle feels like an amazing reward and it feels like a true achievement. Then there are the people who jump on a game, beg for everything or get it for free, and then they quit within their first 100 hours. The part where you got mesa really got me jealous.

UGD NumbEagle - Yeah, I also find it strange how people mention Ivara more often than Equinox. Basically have to farm and build 2 separate frames from an annoying boss, and then build the combined one. Only frame I said "fuck it" and paid platinum for. Meanwhile Ivara was the 3rd frame I had unlocked, although I'm a bit of a special case because I wanted her specifically before even starting the game. But the grind itself wasn't really that bad, similar to most other frames. A lot of people seem to hate spy missions though, so that might be a contributing factor.

Respect man. Its all about the Journey not the Destination. Its funny, when I am starting out I dont want any help. I started just a few days ago in Warframe after watching one of your videos for it. First thing I did when I got in game was learn how to disable chat and switch matchmaking to solo. Learning a game is one of the best parts. But then once im higher level one of my favorite things to do is help others and do the thing I refused myself lol. I saw alot of comments on here saying "WHAT!! You dont want that stuff? Ya know, I understand, but hell I'll take those gifts. My dream in warframe is to fashion frame EVERYTHING. There is so much customization now, but you need so much plat, I don't really have the plat for such a huge scale nor do I have the time. I do now since it's winter break and finals just finished, but once classes starts again I'm fucked. I can't go 13+ hours straight into a game like I use to anymore. In DE's most recent charity event players gave gifts to other players, from wishlist I believe and they matched the money spent for the charity, so there is a chance for randoms to receive gifts. Also some players like me will give or trade cheaply or help people get stuff in game. Giving free cosmetics etc not so much because we don't know you. We can see the KZbinrs, to an extent we know who they are, makes it easier lol.

Well it's great that we have a community like this gifting people but also know this some of them may have not buy plat through the whole game they have played warframe F2P just like how it's suppose to be played and. That they still can be able to gift people with their hard earned grinding that they did. As a 4 year Warframe addict ( with a break of half a year) I can absolutely understand how this game grabs you and never let go again. I'm the type of dude that likes to research games and play with systems to learn them, and frankly Warframe is ALOT to take in, but I also saw the harsh truth about how... swinging the sword the first time yourself, earned by yourself, with out a clue is the best way to do it. I'm new as well and someone was willing to "taxi" me over to Phobos because he said finding Cephalon fragmants are a pain.. Glad I didn;;t skip it or I wouldn't ever have scanned anything so far and wouldn't know how to progress the quests as well and as sucky as it was... to look over and over.... I can say I DID IT!
