Oh one other thing: I am loving the Ekhein hammer from the last update. Works amazingly well with Tennokai and attack speed buffs, especially with its unique trait. It's probably not amazing on frames or squads without huge speed buffs, but playing Gauss with a giant fucking hammer is super fun.

Iron phoenix is a sword stance that has a combo where the first attack is a forced slash proc, skana has one of the highest dispositions, plus incarnon and the sword passive bonus, it is unironically the best stat stick for Excalibur, and when you put 600%+ dmg on the sword it can actually do some hefty damage with the forced slash, lethal poking stick

Just checked the dispos they are both 4 but still 600%+ on the neutral attack for iron phoenix is crazy, a cc cd - also works tremendously especially with incarnon, 300% cc and the poke from my testing….can apply all status effects legit, one poke i be seeing every damage type i have on it, idk if it’s supposed to be like that

Word to the wise, you can have a free slot or two with tennokai. Heavy attack speed mods aren't needed so the amalgam mod and killing blow are replaceable. Making any melee really good...again.

I would like to second the Xoris being amazing. Don't be a noob like me and sell it early on because you have no plat for slots 😢 Couple other notes: Reach over Primed Reach when you don't have it makes sense still since range is a HUGE DPS increase on melees. Can't stress that enough. Second, the Dragon Nikana is *almost* as good as the Nikana Prime, but Skiajiati also has the advantage of Umbral slots built-in. Yes, the Dragon Nikana has 6% less crit/status chance and 0.4x less crit damage at base, but it still has 85% slash weight which is damn good for starchart, and could even be built into lategame if you don't want to farm the Nikana Prime. Also, obviously has way better Riven disposition, being used less than any other Nikana. Anyway, it's basically the same for 90% of content. Cheers!

Why do you often pick berserkers fury instead of gladiator vice?

Glad vice is 30% AS and the additional passive for crit chance is irrelevant, as often people don't put more than 1 glad mod on their weapon. And usually weapon has already good innate crit chance to get orange numbers. To fix weapons with really bad crit chance %, you simply slap sacrificial steel. To further boost weapons into red crit territory you simply use blood rush mod (40% critical chance stacks with combo multiplier). Berserker fury is 35% AS and stacks up to 2x, so 70% AS. It's just a bigger DPS gain over gladiator vice for stacking slash, viral, heat damage and building combo meter for red crits. (Also berserker fury is a better arcane strike, and it only takes a mod slot, while you can run arcane fury on your warframe for a juicy 180% damage to melee which stacks additively with prime pressure point, condition overload) There is also prime fury mod that is 55% AS flat, but if you clearing big rooms of mobs - berserker fury is more DPS. If you are fighting a single enemy with melee that is a boss, primed fury is better (but there isn't really bosses that you melee down in this game). Obviously those that only have regular fury and glad vice, glad vice is straight up better.

The extra crit is not redundant, you still get it as the mod buffs stack; it's just that an extra 110% crit is diluted more in the typical DPS equation than an extra 40% attack speed. To the OP, to maximise DPS you always want to be buffing the highest percentage to your lowest modifier. Adding 110% crit when you have Gladiator Might, Sacrificial Steel and your base 100 gives 540/440 = 22.7% gain. Swapping Berserker Fury for Gladiator Vice is 1.7/1.3 =30.7% gain.

Build the Prisma Ohma for Corrosive + heat. The Soverign Outcast melee combos will allow you to clear rooms still but when you see a large grouping of enemies or you group them up. Then you can do a ground slam or do the block combo that has a slam in the end to proc electricity regardless of mods. If Melee Influence procs then the insane stacks of corrosive + heat will delete everything around you. This goes for all melees that can proc electricity regardless of mods. obex, falcor, arca titron, xoris, etc.

Just tested it... Ground slam and Block combo do not proc electricity. There is an animation/visual effect of electricity with the weapon, but it doesn't actually proc electricity at all if you build corrosive. Tested all possible attacks/combos. I built it the Prisma Ohma for Viral and Gas (two separate builds), and it simply obliterates anything. Viral for Grineer, Gas for Infested and Corpus.

you failed in your tests. I have corrosive + heat and can proc electricity on slam attacks. It is not 100% garantee but the more enemies around the slam, the better the chance of procing. Otherwise Melee Influence would not be proccing for me and the electric status would not be on top of enemy heads. @@Kashaan94

@@darkmugetsu6572 I wouldn't say failed, but you are right, it CAN proc elec with ground slam. But the chances seem very low, which is why I didn't even notice it happening before. Far too inconsistent and annoying to have to ground slam or block combo (which both push away, contrary to wanting to vaccuum enemies). If you want a Corrosive melee that can consistently proc influence, I would suggest the Caustacyst. It's inherent Corrosive, so easy to build both viral and elec on it. I'll stick with viral or gas builds on the PO though, since I think the Caustacyst is ugly

I didn’t think much of it at first glance because I’ve had the katana glued to me 24/7 but the first time I threw it and made it explode on a group I fell in love with the thing. I personally love the prisma skana incarnon. The prisma skana was my favorite, but mostly unused, melee since its release, so I've been so happy to see the utter glow up it has received over the past year or so. Each update since duviri has buffed it, and now I'm running it with base Mentor's Legacy (don't have the others yet), blood rush, focus radon, carnis mandible, and a +toxin +initial combo +crit damage riven, and melee exposure to great effect. Seeing it do over 2 million against armored steel path enemies with its toxin/corrosive/radiation/slash spread makes me so happy. Honorable mention to the stropha as well, melee exposure making it even better at popping Narmer zits.

Dual Ichor Incarnon not being on here is wild. On Saryn specifically it is the best melee weapon in the game by far. Having to use Saryn is a drawback if you don’t like/have her but it’s so absurdly strong that it should have at least gotten a mention.

Cerata is AMAZING against anything with shields "ie: corpus and a lot of zariman" Glaive prime will slap with higher numbers, though requires a slightly different mod loadout. Ohma is great. No explanation. Ignoring the zaws, kuva, and tenet weapons because those can always be good with the right combinations . . . . A sleeper weapon that people don't really use is the Jat Kusar. It is a HEAT bladed whip with amazing combo and radial attacks that hit huge groups while also having a nice niche explosive heavy attack. LOVE the jat kusar and its hella fashion frame. Guandao has always been a go to, can't complain it can carry ALL content. Good Luck getting venka prime, rip the plats Nikana prime can be subsituted with the Crit Nikana Zaw "exodia are pretty nice" or the Skiajati with incrementally lower dps in that order. Praedos is a better and free option if you only consider nikana prime. Optimal Crit Scythe Zaw is a better option than Hate and easier to get. Ankyu and Ceramic are good one is dojo and every other option is locked away ? Other options include the Caustacyst which is a status god with 5 elements sitting on my 0 forma build, if you want crits do arcane avenger for even crazier CO damage "tenent gregory has higher crit, thats about it."

Bo Prime Incarnon with the Melee Animosity and Tennokai (ideally, Dreamer's Wrath) can hit enemies for hundreds of millions of damage via heavy attacks, and the incarnon form adds +4m range, giving it that JUICY 7m swing. You also would want to use the Clashing Forest stance since it has more hit-counts and dps (which will require an stance forma). If you fully deck out your Voruna (or Kullervo; your choice) with red archon shards for melee critical damage, Arcane Avenger and Arcane Fury, your heavy attacks can hit up to -2.17b damage (and this was before Tennokai and melee arcanes were added). It's just a giant wacking-stick of death and it's glorious.

Sacrificial steel is 220% but x2 for heavy attacks, blood rush is 440% at max combo it works out the exact same since tennokai counts as a heavy attack

I was wondering if you can answer a quesiton, on the Nikana Prime you show a build and it has a Exilus Weapon slot that you put Opportunity's Reach in, I have not gotten the Nikana Prime but it doesn't have the slot for Opportunity's Reach, I have the Stance Slot but not the Exilus Slot, is there a way to add that slot? When I go Meta I use Arca Titron. Got myself a good riven and one slam half a room in Netracells. I'm a huge fan of sparring weapons. So at the moment I use Prisma Obex, Hirudo and sometimes Secura Lecta on Kullervo. For Arcanes I use Influence or Vortex. Since they dont REALLY do a lot of damage on there own I use as a fun choice Shook Trooper on Kullervo. The 300% extra electric Damage with 300% Melee crit from Kullervo is really nice if you dont run level cap.

Innodem also can be paired with amalgam arganak metal augur, with enable dagger to armor strip, damaga from dagger reduces armor (this includes DoT). so if you use the aerial attacks (that has infinite punch through and 20m range) and melee influence, you can become a litteral nuke helicopter till level cap.

I ran steel path grotesque splinter farm to buy rank 5 arcane energize and rank 5 arcane fury and rank 5 arcane guardian and hence have max ranked each melee arcane except melee duplicate and one other which drops only in netracells. If I'm not maining melee I usually just run furax incarnon, it always has 12x so it's always great for acolytes, it gives my secondary fire rate, it has perfect follow through, very nice stance, high base damage, it has no slashes but who cares it's a melee influence meta. Especially if I have roar, armor strip or grouping it's a weapon that I can whip out whenever on my non melee setups and it will easily kill everything in a split second without needing to build combo, it's very nice.

You have to complete basically all the story quests up until the most recent one, Whispers in the Walls. After finishing up the whispers quest you'll get a melee arcane adapter and the ability to unlock tennokai mods

I'm was a knew player and I really was enjoying this game but I messed up I did everything to unlock new war quest just didn't realize you need to do rail jack missions first to upgrade it witch none of the guides tell you that they just say unlock the rail jack and complete the main quest line so I guess that's it for me and I have only been playing for a month and I'm stuck so 🤷‍♂️🤯👎
