The reason you would use clippers instead of hobby knives is those delicate little muskets are likely to snap if you cut with a knife unless you get something directly under them. It is telling that we didn't see you cutting those muskets. How many did you break?

Most of the bayonets bounced back pretty good, but I did break a couple. None were sawed all the way through, but small number were weaker after the cut. Thank you for commenting.

I will take a little scale difference to get nearly £200 of models for my astra militarum vostroyan firstborn for the price of £20.

100%. Personally, I really enjoy the Death Fields miniatures by Wargames Atlantic, but I these could likely work as Vostroyan Firstborn with some creative painting or some advanced kitbashing. Good luck with your project. It should be a fun one!

How do they size up compared with Victrix and Perry?

So you need still buy command, but remember Prussian reserve regiments didn't carry flags.
